Therapeutic Thin Heater

Leveraging SIMTech’s Printed Heater technology, Heatran is a home-use heat wrap therapy treatment designed to provide relief for anyone suffering from knee pain. It soothes discomfort by rapidly heating and maintaining temperature to promote blood circulation. Even heat distribution is achieved throughout each 30 minute therapeutic session with a rounded heat channel. Velcro fasteners make it super easy to affix to the knee for users with limited mobility.

Round And Straight Lines Are Best!

Attention Designers! Your need to draw the perfect curve using a ruler is now easier thanks to the Compasses Ruler. The design is self-explanatory so I’m just going to applaud the fact that doing geometric stuff is getting neater by the day! What do you say?

Compasses Ruler is a IDEA 2013 Finalist entry.

The Micklish Butler on Kickstarter

The Butler has arrived on Kickstarter. The space saving organizer that keeps your phone, keys, wallet and glasses in one place has reduced it’s price ($79) – that’s if it can meet its Kickstarter goal. The design drips with neo mid-century flavor, warm enough to work in traditional homes, clean enough to look handsome on the walls of a modern home. The entire piece is CNC’d from black walnut and baltic birch ply – definitely timeless. Compatible with all iPhone models, Samsung S3 – S4, and the HTC One. Get chu’ some!

This pen sucks…

Literally! It suctions onto any surface to keep your designer 316 Liner pen handy. Its sucker is both the base for keeping it upright and the cap for protecting the tip – so both parts are easy to keep together. I always forget how useful rubber-suckers truly are (even if they feel a bit 1991!).

Ultimate Disposal Of Gloves

Just rip them! Reuse of surgical cloves is strictly prohibited and yet we see many indulge in this malpractice. The only way to ensure that the gloves don’t get reused is to tear them. The Safe Cut Surgical Glove’s design has a provision to tear them from the palm-side. A tab cuts through the latex when the gloves are removed. This will prevent both unintentional and intentional reuse of the gloves.

Safe Cut Surgical Glove is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner.

An Expression of Espresso

If it weren’t functional at all, I’d still be in love with the look of the Ois Espresso Cup. But it is. So I do even more. Its fine bone china nestles perfectly into the tropical wood saucer to stabilize the cup so you can move with it…. and what good is coffee if you can’t take it with you?
