CookPlat is conceived as a portable Pyrex vitroceramic cooker that uses magnetic induction technology. Designed to be modular, this cooker can be transported and used in just about any environment. Since it is a vitroceramic hob, the cooker directly heats up the utensil via a magnetic field and doesn’t use heating resistors (radiant heat).

For a layperson this means efficient cooking via less energy loss. Some of the key features include being dishwasher safe, outdoor compatible, configurable modules, and the ‘capacitance touch switch’ has a longer lifetime than ordinary switches.

CookPlat is a 2013 Red Dot Award: Design Concept Best of Best winner.

The Lightsaber Knife is not exactly what every Star Wars fan would imagine it to be, however to its credit, it does have some sci-fi elements to it. The knife uses Liquidmetal to produce a perfect quality knife, one that slices, dices, chops and smashes with ease. A good quality knife can make or break a cooking experience and this knife features five different kinds of blades, so that you can enjoy the process.

You can switch blades via the touch screen and ensure only adults handle the knife thanks to the fingerprint scanning system. This ways the knife recognizes who is using it and keeps it safe for kids.
