Picture Cook

Today’s standard format for cookbooks is a recipe for ultimate intimidation: a mathematical formula accompanied by beautiful, close-up photographs of the prepared meal taken on a DSLR camera. Fiery Feast

The Volcano is a barbecue grill that is modeled on the unpredictable volcanic eruptions seen in mountains. The idea stemmed from the love of watching dancing flames on barbecues as they slowly cooked and grilled assorted food items and transformed them to yummy delicacies. Although a cumbersome process, people still go through the pains of setting up the grill and indulging in elaborate fares, hopefully the Volcano will make life easier for them all.

Personalized Plate Cooking

The Plate Cooker is intended for busy working folks who can’t spend much time on cooking. It reflects a unique Korean culinary culture: preference for soup and rice as a breakfast, and cooking and freezing the food over weekends. This food is then heated and consumed over the upcoming week.

According to the research conducted by the designer, people tended to heat the frozen rice and other foods in the microwave to pack as lunch and if they heated all the food at once, some dishes were left cold. This Plate Cooker allows you to warm up various foods together all at once and easily cook simple meals in an efficient way.

Love it!

Cuttingboard love

Bloesem Living | Cuttingboard selection

Cutting boards, where do I begin, not only are they functional, like when you actually use them as a base to do your cutting on, but they also look beautiful to serve food on. Especially with the beautiful patterns and colors they come in nowadays.

I have noticed an increased use of chopping/cutting boards in food presentation. From just the classic wooden chopping boards, to these cool geometric shaped plastic boards. They look great just as decorative pieces hanging in your kitchen!

In conclusion, cutting boards look pretty, are functional for cutting and serving, and they come in so many different designs. You can even pimp up your old wooden chopping boards with leather straps! So the next time you're having a party or having some friends over for dinner, try serving food on chopping boards to create a really photogenic spread. Unless its soup or noodles or something thats going to slide right off, then just stick to bowls, we beg you.

Have fun chopping board shopping! – Zara S.
