imageAs a big fan of Urban Decay for all my more indulgent beauty buys (glittery eyeliner, purple opalescent eyeshadow…), it came as no surprise to discover that the brand has recently released their own collection of stick-on crystals to bling out your makeup look! The Urban Decay Rocks kit comes with 24 tiny crystals (in gold, silver, and iridescent) and brush-on lash glue for easy bedazzling. Use on the outer and/or inner corners of your eyes, on your nails, or even along cheekbones if you’re feeling especially Lady GaGa-esque. While it’s certainly a bold beauty move, it’s a fun way to jazz up your New Year’s look — all you need is the confidence to pull it off and a steady hand!

imageEver since Carrie and the gang from “Sex and the City” step foot into Magnolia Bakery for one of their cupcakes, the worldwide craze for the frosted sweet treats hasn’t died down since. While I’m busy budgeting for my designer shoe fund, bag fund, and oh yeah, bills, I can’t always indulge in a $4 treat everyday. That’s why the Smart Planet Mini Cupcake Maker is so handy. This gadget makes 6 mini cupcakes in just 5 minutes with recipes included. If you think about it, it’s also quite health conscious since you’re eating a mini sized cupcake instead of a regular sized one (but there’s no saying that all 6 could disappear within minutes!). Of course, you can also make mini muffins, cornbread and other treats but cupcakes are definitely #1. Like they always say, when you want things done right, do it yourself. Now I just have to figure out how to automatically frost them.

imageI have to admit that while I work in the notoriously food phobic fashion industry, I love all aspects of food. If you’re ever a fly on the wall of the Stylehive office, you can hear most of us gab about the latest cheap eats or restaurants we’ve been to. So of course, I’ve got to have some fashion accessories that look like food like my Ritz Cracker earrings and gum drop necklace. My fingers have been feeling lonely from the lack of food related goodies, but today’s the day! I found these super charming Meringue Rings that look good enough to eat. Hot In The Hive: Giuseppe Zanotti Swarovski-Embellished Sandals

He’s been making shoes for over twenty years, first as a design apprentice and now for his eponymous line. His designs are known for being high quality, unique, and of course, totally sexy. One of his latest creations is no exception to the rule. His Swarovski-embellished sandals are over the top and super glamorous. I think they’d be the perfect pair of shoes to wear if you’re going to a fashionable Halloween costume party whether you’re dressed as a witch or even as Victoria Beckham. Of course, if you’re going to spend over $1000 on a pair of shoes, you’ve got to be able to wear them again! You can wear them to get over an ex or to all the holiday parties coming up soon.
