WhatsWear Finds Great Fall Leather Jackets For Less!

imageLeather jackets are one of the most important fall staples. They are universal, never go out of style and look great on both men and women. However, some leather jackets can run you upwards of $600! In this economy that is just way too much to spend on a jacket you can only wear in the spring and the fall. However, WhatsWear has come to the rescue and found adorable leather jackets for under $260! We scoured the web searching for cheap and chic jackets for both men and women. TopShop had the best selection of real leather and faux leather jackets. I love their fitted, cropped black jackets for women. These three jackets had more of a rock-n-roll feel, but if you are looking for something more ladylike, go no further than Forever 21’s 3/4 sleeve leather jacket in a beautiful cream. Our favorite picks for the boys included the navy bomber jacket (faux leather), the timeless black bomber jacket (all leather and machine washable!) and the super chic grey leather sweatshirt (all leather but dry clean only). Pair your desired leather jacket with just about anything from dresses to jeans to skirts and more! Head over to WhatsWear for more fall fashion that won’t cost you the whole season’s salary.

The Budget Babe Finds Frye-Inspired Boots At Target!

imageAs holidays with my family now involve three energetic dogs and two adorable nephews under the age of 6, not to mention unpredictable Chicago weather, my uniform for looking presentable yet comfortable involves boots, skinnies and tunic sweaters. Simple, functional, stylish. The newest addition to said boot arsenal is the Mossimo Supply Co. Katherine Leather Engineer Boot ($49.99), which my sister managed to find for me in-store after I waited too long and they sold out online. Sis, I owe you one!! I love these boots. These boots are made for walkin’. Rugged, tough, timeless. They will require some breaking in but so far, I love wearing them. Anyone else score a pair of these? This fabulous fashion find was brought to you by our friends from The Budget Babe!

Hot Summer Fashion Trend Alert: Ombre

imageTie-dye‘s more sophisticated older sister is popping up on everything from summer dresses to handbags, shoes, scarves and even makeup. Ombre summer dresses are pretty and feminine with many sophisticated styles to choose from, while ombre accessories look fab with white denim. Composed elegant styles keep it looking less “Summer of Love” and more Ibiza, Capri or Santorini – suitable for a casual day at the beach, or a chic warm-weather wedding. Get Ready For Fall With Rad Motorcycle Jackets

imageYou know all those pretty little floral sundresses we’ve been advocating lately? Well, we wouldn’t want to leave you high and dry with a closet full of unwearable clothing come fall, so we’ve rounded up a handful of motorcycle jackets and vests to take those prints well into the cooler season, and possibly even winter (with black leather boots and opaque tights, of course). Some of the options veer towards the splurge-y side, but nice leather is one of those things worth spending on. We like the perforated leather (look really closely and you can see the tiny holes punched into it), on this jacket from Topshop. Click on over to The Frisky to see more motorcycle jackets fit for fall!

Essence Takes A Look At 30 Days Of Rihanna’s Style

imageWhile Rihanna may have been hiding under her umbrella and taking a breather from the music scene ever since the Chris Brown fiasco, she hasn’t lost the following of her faithful fans… and her fellow fashionistas! A strong girl like Ri-Ri isn’t one to let a scandal get her down for long, and her eclectic and edgy style hasn’t suffered any despite her tiny break from the spotlight. From LA to NYC and beyond, she’s partied it up with pals in metallic leggings, relaxed spa-style in flowing printed dresses, rooted for the Lakers courtside in funky sneaker heels, and embraced her inner rocker-chick with moto jackets and a buzzed hairstyle. The Essence blog tracks her fashionable footsteps over the recent months as she enjoys the single life and gets ready to embrace the limelight yet again! Head over to take a look at the slideshow!

Steal Her Style: Blake Lively’s Summery Hamptons Look

imageBlake Lively is one of the most stylish starlets in Tinseltown — and she doesn’t work with a personal stylist. The outfit she recently wore to QVC’s Super Saturday charity shopping event in the Hamptons was molto bene and perfect for a breezy summer day. Blake paired a form-fitting white mini by Herve Leger with a tailored blue-and-white-striped Oxford, and the classic preppiness of the shirt balanced the raciness of the eensie-weensie skirt. She finished the look with a pair of brown patent round-toe pumps and a long chain necklace. Here’s how you can get her look for way less, courtesy of Lemondrop!

1. Elizabeth and James Schoolboy Shirt: This menswear-inspired shirt features ruched sleeves and back buttons to keep it looking fitted, not boxy. $264
2. Forever 21 Cut Off Denim Skirt: A crisp white skirt like this can be worn to a daytime BBQ or as an impromptu beach cover-up. $20
3. Matisse Pump: A thick wooden heel and shiny patent upper combine to make this pump a true eye-catcher. $42
4. Sequin Long Chain Necklace: Add some funky style to a more classic look with a fun, tiered chain necklace like this gorgeous silver version. $40

Get Rich With Joyrich At Karmaloop This Fall

imageJoyrich’s dope new Fall collection is now available at Karmaloop.com! Supporting the image of being casual and laid-back but yet posh and luxurious, the LA-based label has been designed to promote a lifestyle that is rich in content. The collection intertwines high-end apparel techniques with contemporary street casual fabrics and fits, delivering influential ’90s styles like the classic acid washed denim and the multi-faceted varsity jackets. The most appealing aspect of this collection is that it was created to be accessibly worn on or off the runway, producing a smart balance between both the men and women’s line. Not to mention, an impressive collaboration with designer extraordinaire, Brian Lichtenberg – the two labels have come together to produce clean and form fitting tees, like The BL x Joyrich Tee. Joyrich’s super hip mixture of clothing carries a fresh energy and contemporary chic appeal, which is very much reflected in all of its pieces. Lo Bosworth Dishes On Style And The New Season Of The Hills!

imageLo Bosworth’s most memorable quip about fashion may be “I have not found a cute white dress, like, ever. They’re all trashy and tacky.” This, of course, was spoken right before the screen cuts to a shot of Kristin Cavallari in a clingy sleeveless eggshell number (meow!). Die-hard watchers will remember that infamous scene from Season 1 of “Laguna Beach,” where we were first introduced to much of the cast that now makes up “The Hills” milieu. Now, it’s been five years… has Lo managed to ever find a decent white dress? “I have!” she laughed during our interview last week. “I just got a great white shift dress from Topshop that’s beautifully decorated with little black beads all over it. White doesn’t really do great things for me from behind, though.” Her candidness and reversal of judgment demonstrate a lot about her. Loyal but level-headed, the Laguna/Hills star may have strong opinions but isn’t inflexible about viewing them from another angle. It’s that same distinct yet laidback quality that also marks her personal style, which I happen to love — easy yet elegant. Her wardrobe must-haves? “I like to really combine high-end with low-end stuff, especially things that are more ‘evening’ with others that are more casual,” she shares. “[My style] is a good representation of a lot of LA fashion, and fashion just in Southern California: jeans, an amazing leather jacket, and a great blouse, purse, and heels… it’s a good look: casual and just easy.” I also asked Lo about stylists (she doesn’t use one and puts her looks together mostly on her own), favorite designers (Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, Lanvin), and beauty obsessions (her new Shu Uemura sheer orange lip gloss). So will Lo, who’s just been given FLING Chocolate’s first-ever “Best Fling” honor for “her confidence in being naughty, but not that naughty,” be getting up to any trouble on the new season of “The Hills?” “For the next few episodes of the show, you’re going to see me moderating between a lot of people. I try not to get too involved in the drama and be the calm between the storms!” Let’s see: that’s “moderating,” “drama,” and “storms” all in one description. Yep — sounds like “The Hills” is back! Tune in to MTV for the season premiere on Tuesday, September 29 at 10pm! Photo Credit: PR Photos
