Video Style Steal – Kelly Rowland ‘Motivation’ ft. Lil Wayne

imageKelly Rowland shows off her sensual side in her new single, ‘Motivation’.

Smooth and sexy, Kelly Rowland bumps and grinds in an underworld setting full of virile and toned bodies. Slinking and writhing to the beat and displaying her impressive vocals, we can’t help but get into the groove of this racy song.

It’s a dark and lust filled world of legs and lips, studs and cutouts and hard-to-hit falsetto notes and we were entranced by every second.

While Kelly looks amazing in her provocative get-ups, we’ve translated her look into one that we can emulate for our everyday. Check out her steamy video then just click on the slideshow to see our picks!

imageIt’s sad to admit, but most of us don’t dine in fine restaurants on a daily … heck, weekly … basis. But that shouldn’t deter us from having a special dinner date look on reserve.

Get Her Look – Ashlee Simpson’s Office-Friendly Animal Print

imageThere are some parties where your favorite “freakum dress” is a huge no-no … like the office party.

While a low neckline and a high hemline are inappropriate anytime your boss is around, you can have some fun with your office party look.

Take inspiration from Ashlee Simpson‘s head-to-toe Mara Hoffman ensemble. The animal print is wild, but the style of the dress is conservative. Her arms have some coverage, and the hem hits mid-thigh. Ashlee popped the yellowish-brown animal print with red strappy sandals and pendant necklace.

You’ll turn your coworkers’ heads in a good way with this festive yet office-friendly look. So the next time you’re attending an office party or happy hour with coworkers, leave your LBD in the closet … this is your look! Get the details below.

Video Style Steal: Beyonce Goes Retro In “Why Don’t You Love Me?”

imageBeyonce’s more recent “Sasha Fierce” videos have been all about futuristic fashion-forward looks — lots of metallic details, sequins galore, and sky-high exaggerated shoulders. However, in her latest video for “Why Don’t You Love Me,” she opts for something much more retro (complete with authentic grainy video quality!), channeling a fierce combination of the tough Rosie-the-Riveter type and a do-anything-for-her-man 50s housewife. With a beauty look taken straight from an Old Hollywood red carpet, shorter-than-short daisy dukes, flirty pin curls, and plaid, it’s hard to imagine anyone wouldn’t love a girl with a knack for updating such impeccable vintage style! Take a look at the slideshow to see how to cop one of her throwback styles from the video — just make sure you go easy on the dirty martinis when applying that precise cat-eye liner!

Video Style Steal: Fergie Kicks Cyborg Butt In Style In “Imma Be Rocking That Body”

imageThe Black Eyed Peas are known for being stylishly “different,” whether they’re rocking matching leather ensembles on the red carpet or onstage in glow-in-the-dark getups. But their latest album “The E.N.D.” has taken on a more futuristic vibe (we’re talkin’ really fashion-forward), and the fourth single “Imma Be” is no exception. In the video (really more of a mini-feature really), the gang take on a gaggle of evil Transformers-type robots, and Fergie leads the pack in a number of scanty superhero-from-the-future-inspired outfits. While I certainly don’t have a metal-embellished body suit for you to try on (complete with a long cape and silver visor), nor do I think such an outfit is battle-ready for fighting giant robots, you can take still take a page from the BEP handbook with mirror-shiny fabrics, leather gloves, and lots of studs. Watch the video to see the spectacle (it’s a long one!) then view the slideshow for some futuristic Fergie-inspired wardrobe additions!

Video Style Steal: Taylor Swift’s “Our Song” Is A Cute V-Day Throwback!

imageTaylor Swift may be the current reigning Queen of the Grammys, but since I’ve been in the nostalgic mood, I have to say I miss the old Taylor. Of course, by “old” I mean only a couple years ago, but a small passage of time can do wonders in turning a guitar-strumming Nashville gal into a multi-platinum superstar. Back in her “Our Song” days, she was still the gorgeous yet endearingly humble Cinderella next-door, but had a little more of that hopeless romantic flair that I guess you start to lose after a Jonas brother dumps you over the phone. In one of her first videos ever, she Taylor-izes the classic Audrey Hepburn-style LBD with cowgirl boots and fingerless gloves, creating a look that’s both down-to-earth and date-ready at the same time (Valentine’s Day, anyone?). Watch the video for a little “retro” Swifty, then look through the slideshow to see how you can cop her cowgirl-gone-glam look! Photo Credit: Vh1.com

Rock A Sexy Sequined Minidress Like Nicole Richie!

imageFrom day to night, from one season to the next, sequins are the new fool-proof go-to look. I am so fond of a gold sequined mini dress- it’s such a versatile option that always looks amazing and can be teamed with any color under the sun. Gold is totally the new black! Fashion trendsetter Nicole Richie demonstrated the fabulousness of the sequined mini to ring in the New Year at Tao and Lavo in Las Vegas. Nicole is always one to pile on the accessories but given the standout nature of this style, she left the glitzy pieces at home, finishing off her look with black tights and black Yves Saint Laurent pumps. A relaxed, slouchy style like Nicole’s is highly wearable and can be toned down with a sharp blazer, vest, or cozy knit and vamped up with killer heels or sexy booties. Either way, this style is a winner! Check out my slideshow for 5 sequined frocks similar to Nicole’s!

Shop Jessica Lowndes’ Electric Chic Look!

imageI am placing 90210 star Jessica Lowndes on my ‘one to watch’ list due to her undeniable flair for fashion. At the at the For Joseph’s Chic Holiday Soiree to benefit the MS Society, Jessica looked stunning and sexy with a look that managed to be simultaneously bold and restrained. Jessica brought out her beautiful baby blues with an electric blue Mara Hoffman dress which she toughened up with a vintage-looking leather jacket by For Joseph. She played up the edgy motif with an embellished Jimmy Choo fringed clutch, funky Jimmy Choo pumps, and kepy the jewelry to a minimum with a Lia Sophia cocktail ring to finish it all off. All together these pieces made for an incredible ensemble but each one individually, from the dress to the clutch, can help update your look.

Video Style Steal: Shakira’s “Give It Up To Me”

imageI’m not embarrassed to admit that I still request “She Wolf” every time I hit the dance floor (what can I say? It’s the perfect girls-night anthem!), but Shakira is movin’ on full-steam ahead. Her latest video for the single “Give It Up To Me” is a little more collaborative (hey Lil Wayne!) and a little less… well, naked (did you see that cut-up catsuit she wore last time?). While we can go ahead and skip that whole multi-armed Statue of Liberty-inspired ensemble, her other two video outfits can easily be translated from her scantily-clad step team to real-world streetwear. After all, everyone can appreciate a good pair of flat leather boots and a cute military cap to save you from bad hair days (not like Shakira herself ever experiences any of those!). Click “See Video” to watch, then check the slideshow to see how you can tame the She-Wolf’s video vixen outfits and rock them yourself! Photo Credit: MTV.com
