I am a self admitted fragrance addict and love to match my daily scent to my mood. I love body-sprays and eaux de toilettes and never feel like I have enough perfumes on my dressing table! My biggest worry in that department is that, even after multiple spritzes, the fragrance disappears five minutes after I walk out the door! I want to smell good all day but don’t want to lug a huge glass bottle in my purse for touch-ups. The mini sample sizes are cute but run out before half the day is even over! I don’t know about you, but as a closet video game geek (okay, maybe not so “closet”), I was super excited about the long-awaited release of Nintendo’s newest portable entertainment system, the Nintendo DSi. As the third generation product of the company’s sleek DS line, the DSi doesn’t look too much different than its predecessor, the DS Lite, at first glance. However, with the incorporation of two built-in cameras (yes, two!), a music player and sound recorder, and Wi-Fi capabilities for its very own “app” store, this updated gadget is indeed new and improved in the fun department despite its similar physicality to its older relatives. The two cameras (one internal for self-portraits and another external for maximum lurking potential) allow you to capture and manipulate snapshots, similar to Apple’s addictive PhotoBooth, as well as keep photo journals with the device’s calendar feature. With the SD memory card slot you can upload and listen to your own music and even distort sound with a swipe of the stylus, and with the DSiWare software, you can access the DSi’s online store and purchase games and apps for increased time-killing competence. Since I’ve only had my DS Lite for a year or two and buying a brand-new console isn’t exactly in my meager budget, I’ll just have to encourage fellow gaming gals to make the purchase so I can get my hands on it for a couple hours and test it on my own!

I like nature as much as the next person. I love going to gardens and nurseries to check out flowers and plants (that I’ll probably kill if I ever take them home) and I’m all for hiking the trails. But you’re probably never going to find me roughing it in the mountainside without any running water or my blowdryer. Since I can’t bring plants home, I’ve been looking for things from nature I can’t kill. Luckily, I found the Gianna Rose Atelier Robin’s Egg Soaps. At first glance, they look like real thing. Don’t worry, no one robbed a mother robin of her eggs! These soaps are vegetable based with soothing chamomile extracts. Plus, oatmeal and wheat bran give these eggs their exfoliating speckles. Now I can get a touch of nature every time I wash my hands without harming any animals or killing innocent plants!

If you’ve ever had to deal with a communal fridge at work, at school, or even with rude roommates, a lunch or two has probably vanished before you got to eat it. I’ve had an instance where I made delicious spaghetti and meatballs for lunch only to have an unscrupulous person eat it all and then put the empty container back into the fridge! While the Anti-Theft Lunch Bags may not have worked with my spaghetti, it’ll certainly be handy anytime I bring a sandwich. The lunch bags are regular zip-top lunch bags with totally unappetizing green splotches on both sides of the bag. Lunch stealers have been thwarted! Now those thieves will just have to get their own lunches. (If your lunch goes missing after being placed in one of these bags, we don’t know what to tell you other than.. eww.)
