Joelle è una seduta multiuso formata da seduta, cuscino e poggia piedi; chiudendo la cerniera verticale, i tre elementi possono essere contenuti nell’imbottito che diventa così un piano di appoggio rigido. Il progetto mi piace perché rende elegante il naturale gesto dell’apertura.

 | It’s a sad, sad day when you realize there’s a chance you might be too old to go trick-or-treating. This realization either comes in the form of a too-high number of slammed doors during the previous year’s Halloween activities, or a shift from fear of cavities to fear of calories. Eeek! Luckily there are still plenty of ways to make the most of your annual sugar rush and they don’t involve dipping into the kids’ stash (bad!) or going to town on the office candy bowl. This Nordic Ware Castle Bundt Pan turns an ordinary box of Halloween Funfetti cake mix into a haunted mansion (with the help of some sprinkles, gumdrops, and fondant), and is way more exciting than an endless influx of bite-sized Snickers bars.  | Getting organized is the worst. I mean, there’s the going through your stuff phase, the purge phase, the immediately-regretting-that-purge phase and then boom! Where are you going to put all this stuff? There are a lot of cute storage solutions right now, and I’ve put together a few of my favorites. I love this Axis Set of Nesting Boxes in Black Toile at Target. Imagine having all of your accessories neatly organized in these boxes sitting on the shelves in your closet? Delightful!  | I have to admit that it’s a little too cold for ice cream even though I know plenty of people who love to enjoy a sundae on a chilly day. Most people love ice cream, but like any indulgence the high calorie count can catch up to the best of us. That’s why the Ice Cream Bench is so cool (hah, get it?). The solid foam bench features “chocolate” seat cushions covered in canvas and “vanilla” ice cream center covered with velvet.  | Do you ever wake up with the sun in your eyes? Sure it may be a natural wake up call, but surely there are days where you just want to sleep in. That means you should cover up those naked windows with some chic curtains! Curtains can shield your eyes (and your furniture) from the harsh sunlight, keep the cold or heat out, and make any room look more put together. Shopping for window treatments can be confusing so make sure you measure all the windows and bring the measurements with you to the store. It also helps to bring swatches of any furniture you have in the room to make sure none of the colors clash with your new curtains.  | Father’s Day is a step around the corner and I never know what to get my dad! I crossed ties off the list many years ago (he made me), he probably has bathrobe and slipper sets to last him two lifetimes, and all those cool gadgets and grill tools that my brother and I were gonna go halfsies on? He’s already bought them for himself! So, I think this year, I will go for a gift that’s something fun mixed with something a little traditional. Most men like beer… maybe even borderline love. Men have loved beer throughout the ages so much that German soldiers would drink it out of their boots, rather than not drink it at all!  | Lately I’ve been looking at apartments with some friends who are looking to move to a new place. While many have spacious kitchens, lots of windows, and large bedrooms, I’ve found that some have tiny closets or no closet at all! I’m certainly not a fan of using the hallway closet to hold all of my clothes along with the vacuum cleaner, but there are definitely options that can keep your clothes safely in your room. If you have a small closet, keep all your dresses, shirts, and pants inside the closet. Then make the most of your free wall space by adding something like the Fleur-De-Lys Hook Rack to hang your jackets and coats. For larger storage solutions for the closet-less, go for an armoire like this bamboo wardrobe (cute dog not included). An armoire may seem like a fortune to spend, but if you get a quality piece you love, you’ll keep it forever.  | Mama always said the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Knowing how to prepare a good meal can be pretty sexy — not to mention fun, and more importantly, tasty! When something like food is always on the brain, there’s nothing better than someone who can cure your fix with the steady use of a few tools. Cooking isn’t always simple: there’s a lot of prep and a lot of heart to it. Dressing it all up can make it a bit easier. Style you can wear can be just as important as style you can use, as both can be as expressive as Grandma’s fresh-baked apple pie.
