Hot In The Hive: Gianna Rose Atelier Robin’s Egg Soap

I like nature as much as the next person. I love going to gardens and nurseries to check out flowers and plants (that I’ll probably kill if I ever take them home) and I’m all for hiking the trails. But you’re probably never going to find me roughing it in the mountainside without any running water or my blowdryer. Since I can’t bring plants home, I’ve been looking for things from nature I can’t kill. Luckily, I found the Gianna Rose Atelier Robin’s Egg Soaps. At first glance, they look like real thing. Don’t worry, no one robbed a mother robin of her eggs! These soaps are vegetable based with soothing chamomile extracts. Plus, oatmeal and wheat bran give these eggs their exfoliating speckles. Now I can get a touch of nature every time I wash my hands without harming any animals or killing innocent plants!

Price: $20.90-24.90

Mmm, Cupcakes… Save Money And Make Your Own!

We all indulged in our fair share of cupcakes when we were kids, but now the petite pastries are here to stay as a decidedly grown-up treat. But ever since viewers saw the ladies of “Sex and the City” enjoying cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery nearly 10 years ago, cupcakes have become somewhat of a chic indulgence, with cupcake “boutiques” all around the country specializing in the mini treats. From classic red velvet to exotic flavors like passionfruit, cupcakes can be savored by anyone young or old. The drawback to these cupcakes are the gourmet prices that accompany them- I once paid over $3 for a cupcake from a specialty bakery and the frosting tasted like glue! Since then, I’ve decided to try my hand at making my own cupcakes. Anyway, isn’t part of the fun of cupcakes the decorating and then consequent consuming? So save some dough because I’ve found everything from a getting started book to darling gift boxes your friends will line up around your house for! To see more, just click the slideshow!

Home How To: Decorating Without A Bail-Out Package!

Many of us have resolved to spend less in 2009 and I like to think that all the post-holiday sales are working in our favor. Whether it’s scoring that perfect wool coat for 75% off at your favorite department store or marching from sample sale to sample sale to find brag-worthy items to show your friends, being smart with your money is very “in.” Many times though, we forget about shopping for our home for whatever reason, but it doesn’t mean it’s no less important. Besides, wouldn’t you want a home just as stylish as the contents of your closet? While this “recessionista” trend is in, there’s no need to exclusively shop from the ever ubiquitous Swedish home furnishing store (you know the one I’m talking about). You can still get high quality goods at a huge discount if you know where to look! Get 4 martini or white wine glasses for less than $15 at Macy’s or upgrade that bare bulb in your living room with a chic chandelier inspired by nature. Show Some Love With Valentine’s Day Decor

Whether you’re hosting an intimate party for two or a little less exclusive party for 200, it’s time to plan the decorations for your Valentine’s Day celebration. While I’ve found a bunch of heart and love-themed decor accents and accessories that may seem a little too saccharine sweet, they’re ok in low doses. A silver-plated sentiment picture frame from Pottery Barn is a nice reminder of your sweetheart. Fresh from a breakup and don’t have a special someone this year? Someone out there may have the “key to a broken heart” or at least have one hanging on your wall. Curious to see how you can decorate your home for the most romantic day of the year without causing a bad toothache? Take a peek at my slideshow!

Progetti in cerca di produttore

prototipi.jpg
