Fate is in your hands!

Energy efficiency is synonymous with eco-friendliness, living green, and saving the planet. Nuture is a living energy monitor that embodies this idea with a literal sense of life or death! The amount of water that the plant gets fed is entirely dependent on the cumulative energy use of the user- less when your energy use is too high, and just the right amount when it’s low. It’s a living representation of energy consumption and a symbolic reference to the consequences of overuse. Keep your plant alive and you’ll help keep the world alive!

Charged: Solaire Generation: The New York firm transforms parking structures into solar power plants

Charged: Solaire Generation

Depending on where you live, parking lots can either feel like a terrific waste of space or woefully inadequate for city needs. Still, they are everywhere, not to mention a critical component of urban planning. Since…

Keep Your Eye On The Ball

SEESAW is an ingenious device that gives you subtle visual cues to monitor anything imaginable! Using WEB APIs, you can set it to keep an eye on everything from your energy consumption, stocks, the weather and more. The ball goes up… the ball goes down… all while changing colors to indicate good/bad, less/more, hot/cold, etc..

adidas Energy Boost II

Single-Person Cooking

S.I.A.M. fits perfectly into the kitchen of a singleton. It’s basically a built-in hood and induction cooker. Ideal for quick dishes that require stir-frying, the cooker folds up when not in use. The action of opening and closing the cooker, automatically switches it on or off. I kinda like its form and I think it will fit well in a compact kitchen.

Power Touchscreen

Energy Touch is a concept that gets me into my wishful thinking mode. More like what if we had screenguards so advanced, that they harness the energy from our finger’s touch, every time we use a touchscreen device. Designer Chin-Po Tsai has his own explanation for his theory, which I am sure many of you would like to debate. The question is, can we see this happening in the future? Will we get to that stage at all?

The Power of YOU

This clever gadget, called Activ, makes it possible to harness the kinetic energy created by your own body! The personal electricity generator was designed to be worn on the knee- with each step, it juices up the battery a little more. After it’s full, just attach a USB cord directly to Activ to power your cell phone or other device. Instead of plugging into the wall… plug into you!

Plug It On The Window

The Window Socket offers a neat way to harness solar energy and use it as a plug socket. So far we have seen solutions that act as a solar battery backup, but none as a direct plug-in. Simple in design, the plug just attaches to any window and does its job intuitively.
