Electronic Mosquito Coil

The E-Coil uses frequency waves and light without scent or fragrances to repel mosquitoes and keeping them at bay. The traditional coil leaves ash residue and may have an annoying scent. This new e-version releases frequency waves identical to the ones that male mosquitoes release when flying, and this wave apparently irks the female mosquitoes and keeps them away. Tell me about it!

The waves and the lights emitted are not harmful to humans and is a rechargeable device. E-Coil’s Round LED shows you how much juice is left and when the battery dies, the LED light dims, mimicking the end of a real mosquito coil. Sweet!

Dezeen Music Project: FM002 by Simplex

The music we used on our first Dezeen and MINI World Tour report from Berlin is a tech-house track by Cardiff producer Simplex. We featured the track on Dezeen Music Project last year, and FM002 is another track taken from the same EP, albeit with a very different vibe.

You can listen to more tracks by Simplex on Dezeen Music Project here.

Here’s another great party track we’ll be playing at INTRO NY in New York this weekend. Puzzles is a thumping electro house track by a young German producer called Lumocolr.

Dezeen Music Project: Where Are Your People? by We Have Band

Here’s another track by British trio We Have Band, who we discovered at the MINI Paceman Garage in Milan this year. Where Are Your People? is taken from the band’s most recent album, Ternion, released last year on French label Naïve Records.

You can watch the music video for the song here.

Scoop ‘n Weigh

Scoop is an electronic scale integrated into the measuring scoop, intended for the local grocers who sell by the measure. It is not only handy in eliminating a step, but also promises accuracy. I can picture this being used in kitchens as well, especially when we need to bake and measure out the ingredients as accurately as possible. Over all, a nice plausible design!
