Dezeen Watch Store: Kaos is the first of two new watches by Milan designer Denis Guidone now available from Dezeen Watch Store, both online and at our Christmas shop The Temporium.

On first glance it appears that a confusing assortment of differently sized hands are scattered across the face of the watch, but in fact it’s the two yellow dashes that point to the correct time.

Produced by American brand Project, the watch has a diameter of 36mm and a black leather strap.

The Temporium: each piece in this jewellery collection by London designers Logical Art conceals a USB memory stick. They’re on sale at our Christmas shop The Temporium until 24 December. 

Called Empty Memory, the pieces are cast from stainless steel and finished by hand in white, black or pink gold.

Structure features a frame while Transparent has a clear block of acrylic, representing the space waiting to be filled with data.

Empty Memory is a jewellery collection that works as USB memory stick, targeting the market gap between hand-crafted accessories and consumer electronic goods.

Each piece was casted with high- quality 316 stainless steel, hand-polished by craftsmen and finished with coloured gold; the inner part contains a hi-speed 4GB Samsung flash.

The design comes with two versions – STRUCTURE & TRANSPARENT, both containing a physical emptiness in its sculptural form, giving the metaphor that you can fill the space with your memory.

It is carefully crafted with a very fine jewellery finishing while retains the beauty of hi-tech. Two types of design, STRUCTURE and TRANSPARENT, are available with £48 retail price.

Empty Memory is a collection under the company Logical Art, which is found by Hanhsi Chen and Yookyung Shin in 2011 after their graduation from the Royal College of Art.

The Temporium: regular readers might be surprised to see antiques on Dezeen but these wooden stools from our neighbours Chest of Drawers are today’s Advent calendar feature from our Christmas shop The Temporium.

Sourced from the Shanxi region of China and expertly restored, each stool is between 80 and 120 years old.

They’re made of elm or walnut in round and rectangular versions, constructed with mortise and tenon or lap joints.

Chest of Drawers also show a series of rice measures at the shop.

The company received a Guardian Sustainable Business Award for their system that rates the sustainability of each wooden product in May this year – see our earlier Dezeen Wire story.

Antique Chinese stools – a selection of round and rectangular wooden stools

These stools come from the Shanxi region, one of the richest places in China during the Qing Dynasty.

This region is regarded as one of cradles of the Chinese nation and civilisation with a deep tradition of furniture making of the very highest level.

These rectangular and round stools are a beautiful testament to the simplicity of Oriental furniture from that time. With mortise & tenon and lap joints the legs not only look good but provide strength. Stools are made of elm or walnut and are between 80 and 120 years old. We clean them up but don’t re-touch the designs or decoration. Careful restoration is carried out by skilled restorers but otherwise we leave these pieces well enough alone.

The Temporium 2011: make your Christmas cards and envelopes from any paper with this rubber stamp by British designer Sebastian Bergne, available at our Christmas shop The Temporium.

The circular stamp has a chunky cork handle and can be used with any ink pad to decorate paper or card, including to recycle last year’s cards or scrap paper.
