Modular Traffic Lights

We have way too many hoardings and en route distractions while driving, and I complete get what these designers mean by ‘crowded traffic lights’. Any visible space that comes in the line-of-vision of the driver is populated with clutter; hence the CEF Traffic Lights looks at remedying it. Modular enough to fit in various functions like a camera, the lights simplify the current option.

CEF Traffic Lights is an iF Design Awards – Concept Design Entry for 2014.

Ahh, Dang The Traffic!

I’ve seen a clock similar to the Swing Baton telling the time, however I find the application to managing the traffic system quite fascinating. Predictably, the baton is used to guide the traffic and avoid congestion. What is perky about it is the creative way the colorful signals are displayed.

Traffic Lights in Germany

Le photographe allemand Lucas Zimmermann a profité de la brume qui tombait dans la région de Weimar en Allemagne pour capturer des feux de signalisation. Des traits de lumières du plus bel effet dans ces clichés appelés « Traffic Lights », à découvrir dans une série d’images dans la suite.

Traffic Friendly Light

Ah, after ages we get to see a traffic light redesign and all thanks to the iF Design Talents! What we have here is the Smart Traffic Light. It uses LEDs and even hosts a camera for capturing street-view videos. They come handy in recoding traffic violations by motorists. The design is intuitive and the lights can be configured to show alternative signals.

Traffic in Vietnam

Découverte du travail de Rob Whitworth, qui a réalisé ce timelapse à Ho Chi Minh City au Vietnam. Afin de montrer l’intensité du trafic dans la ville, ce dernier a donc utilisé plus de 10 000 images de circulation. Un rendu de qualité à découvrir dans la suite.
