Go Bold In Electric Blue Like Jessica Stroup

imageAt the Melrose Place launch party in L.A., 90210 star Jessica Stroup was definitely one of the night’s standouts. Jessica wore a gorgeous electric blue cowl-neck minidress from Jenni Kayne topped off with an embellished black belt. Given the high-octane color of the dress, Jessica refrained from adding more color to the mix, opting for a sleek black Sergio Rossi clutch and a killer pair of cutout pumps. Keeping it simple with regards to accessories, she cut it off at one gorgeous cocktail ring from Siera. A slightly slouchy minidress like this one is extremely versatile- wear it as a tunic and layer it over leggings or skinny jeans for a daytime look, or pair with opaque tights, pumps, and a sharp blazer for a sophisticated day-to-night style. You really can’t go wrong with this color either and it’s one of the few bright shades that flatters just about any complexion. Check out my SLIDESHOW to get this standout style!

Get Mila Kunis’ Gorgeous Hairstyle

imageAt the L.A. premiere of her new film Extract, Mila Kunis looked absolutely stunning. Complementing the feminine and flirty Matthew Williamson dress she wore was her soft, slightly undone yet totally glamorous hairstyle. The look was created by TRESemme celebrity stylist Mara Roszak and the best part is she did it for under $15! Read on for the simple steps she used to create Mila’s show-stopping ‘do.

1. Apply TRESemme 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse, $5.49, on damp hair from roots to ends. Rough dry hair until it is completely dry, parting hair slightly more to one side.
2. Use a 1″ curling iron all over the head, rotating the direction of the waves. Spray each section with TRESemme Frizz Shield Finishing Spray, $4.54 and tousle waves with fingers.
3. Pull hair into a low pony towards the opposite side of the part, securing with an elastic. Twist into a loose bun, and secure with criss-crossed bobby pins.
4. Leave soft pieces around the face and around the bun, keeping one side cleaner with fewer loose pieces. Finish by misting TRESemme TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray, $4.75 for a long lasting look.

Amanda is a huge fan of Herve Leger and rocked a citrus yellow bandage dress from the label at the event. She gave the look her own unique spin by pairing it with a pair of electric purple Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps and a gold python clutch from Gerard Darel. Never one to pile on the accessories, Amanda kept it simple with two muted rings. Adding to the playful look were her Barbie pink nails (neon nail shades are all the rage right now). Leighton Meester Wears Gold And Diamond Bat Necklace By Brazilian Designer Jack Vartanian

imageThis wouldn’t be the first time we’ve done a “Leighton Meester Wears..” post here on Stylehive, and so it’s safe to say she’s staying stylish enough for herself and alter ego Blair between seasons (speaking of which, is it September 14th yet?). The actress was spotted strolling in NYC wearing the “Bat Necklace” from Brazilian designer Jack Vartanian. Crafted from 18k rose gold and complete with tiny diamond eyes, it’s stunning and a bit spooky all at once. You can find the necklace along with the entire Jack Vartanian STUD collection at Barneys New York. In case you’re wondering, Leighton’s also wearing Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony wedge boots and Nina Ricci’s “Ondine” handbag. Tell us what you think of her look in comments!

Paris Hilton Shops At Barney’s In Yumi Kim’s ‘Woori’ Dress

imageParis Hilton was recently photographed at Barneys wearing a very cute strappy green dress and white hot accessories. Regardless of your opinion of the heiress (or if you even have one), you’ve got to admit she looks pretty well put together. And I think I finally understand why celebs like Paris make such a point of dressing up just to go shopping. After all, they do say you should dress for the job you want, and if looking hot and shopping are career goals, then she’s well on her way! As for me, I’ll just settle for owning her dress. It’s the Yumi Kim ‘Woori’ dress in Green Pixie, available on the designer’s e-shop for a surprisingly affordable $210.

imageFor the ceremony announcing her as the new face of Mango, Scarlett Johansson rocked a super sleek style that had a bit of a sexy edge. Scarlett paired a flutter sleeve satin top with a waist cinching black skirt- both from Mango. She completed the look with a funky pair of snakeskin shoes, gold bangles, and a large ring on her index finger. This ensemble perfectly complemented Scarlett’s incredible figure so keeping the accessories to a minimum was definitely a wise move- it would have just been overkill otherwise. Leighton Meester Wears Chris & Jaime Collection In NYC

image“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester was spotted in NYC wearing a slouchy top and rolled shorts from Chris & Jaime Collection. It’s not the most exciting outfit by any means, but it just goes to show that she’s equally adorable whether in character as the impeccably dressed Blair Waldorf or off-duty in a pared-down look. The rolled slouchy shorts ($165) and “Be Square” top ($77) are available at Poppy NYC. The shorts are a cute albeit expensive alternative to the ubiquitous denim cutoffs, but you can still get the Leighton’s look- yes, even if you aren’t actually a successful television starlet. Just be sure to add sleek accessories (Leighton’s are by Chloe and Jimmy Choo) and you’ll avoid looking like you just left the gym. Click the slideshow to see our picks!
