Roll And Play Mouse

Say hello to the Roll Instant Rechargeable Mouse. This slim guy can be charged by the laptop that you are working with and even when it’s being used. The charging is done via short-distance wireless charging as it uses wireless Bluetooth technology through resonant inductive coupling (electromagnetic induction) for wirelesses charging. That’s a lot of high-tech words for my simple mind; nevertheless you get the gist.
This technology enables a slimmer mouse volume as there is no need for a large battery.

Two Uses To A Mouse

I was asked to give 10 creative ways to use a pencil, other than for writing…some of the answers that I came up were: as a hair-knot clip, chopsticks, stirrer… you get the drift, right? Similarly, a creative way of using a mouse, other than with the computer is – a pen! A Folding Pen Mouse!

The virtual keyboard has arrived.

What’s better than an ultra-thin, compact, wireless keyboard?? One that doesn’t actually exist at all!! The Lumiquitous mouse system rids your desktop of the cumbersome keyboard, replacing it with a virtual keyboard projected directly on the desk surface. The two mice (one for each side) have a triple motion sensor, beam projector, and optical sensor that detect the movement of the hands and fingers. Because the keyboard moves with the mouse, there’s no more repetitive switching your hand from mouse to keyboard!

Feel the Click

The Feeling Mouse, designed specifically for the hearing impaired, appeals to the user’s tactile senses to emphasize the all-important “click” that’s crucial in operating the device. When the user presses down on the mouse, raised bumps slightly protrude through designated holes where the user’s fingers rest to signal the “click.” It’s a simple solution, but incredibly useful for those missing out on this subtle queue.

A backbone for your wrist…

Kakum is a minimal, ergonomic accessory for your workspace that eliminates the need for those cumbersome (and often ugly) wrist-supporting mouse pads. Unlike most stationary wrist supports, the lightweight design easily slides with your arm as you move across the desk. Adapted for the most natural and comfortable position of the user’s wrist while using a mouse, the design improves form and prevents hand and wrist strain over long term use. See it in action after the jump.

Levitating Mouse

Although currently in its testing stage and researching the market, I’d love to jump the gun and get my hands on the BAT – Levitating Wireless Computer Mouse. The story behind its development is the obvious culprit – Carpal tunnel syndrome; but I’d much rather get it for its awesomeness. The concept consists of a base (mouse pad) and floating mouse with magnet ring. I think it looks very cool and will definitely be a hit with my ilk.

Flat Pack Mouse

I know the tech companies are doing their best to come out with a mouse that is sleek and compact enough to compliment a laptop. However I am sure most of you will agree with me that a full bodied mouse is what our hands crave, when we work one with a laptop. So to address the issue or portability and keep with the demand of a fully functional mouse, we have here the Flat CD Mouse Concept. When its flat-packed it fits into the CD ROM drive and when you fold it (origami style), it converts into a fully functional mouse. Love it and want it NOW!

The Flat CD Mouse is a 2012 iF Design Talents entry.

Felt Computer Mouse
