Light Emitting Dudes est une vidéo réalisée par Frank Sauer qui a réuni les 3 freerunners Jason Paul, Shaun Wood et Anan Anwar dans les rues de Bangkok. Afin de rajouter un aspect visuel très réussi, la costume designer Christina Zahra a équipé ces derniers d’une tenue de LED de couleurs.
For the generations surrounding mine, there’s always going to be something magical about a digital product that requires only solar power to work. Because of this – and because the product we’re about to look at here is simply wonderful – it simply must be made. Or we hope it’ll be made: it’s the Clip•Holding the sunshine by a group working at the Shannxi University of Science and Technology, and it’s cute!
This conceptual design takes its physical form from the simple chip clip – or that’s what you might know it as. The larger area on one side of the clip is a solar panel that collects power throughout the day. On the other side you’ve got a touch switch and an LED light panel that shines rather brightly when you’ve made a tap. The energy is transferred from one side of the device to the other through some simple contacts that roll around the center clip contact.

Dans le même genre que la série Shadow par l’artiste Alexey Bednij, voici ce très bel usage de la lumière et de l’ombre dans ces photographies en noir & blanc par le photographe indonésien Hengki Lee. Des silhouettes mystérieuses et un sentiment de calme et de nostalgie se dégage de ces différents clichés.
« Leonid and Zodiacal Light » est le nom de cette jolie vidéo en technique time-lapse réalisée au Champ du Feu en Alsace, la nuit du 17 novembre 2012. Réunissant 610 clichés réalisés avec un Nikon D3 et un Sigma 8mm, cette impressionnante vidéo de Stéphane Vetter est à découvrir dans la suite.
Inspired by the elegant shape of a flower’s petals, the PETAL lamp is a minimalist take on the curved, open form that reveals a bright LED at its center. Bright light radiates from the bottom upward through a frosted glass piece and aluminum sheet which effectively disperse ambient light evenly throughout the living environment. It’s an ultramodern design with classic inspiration!

Focus sur le projet Revolights alliant intelligemment sécurité et esthétisme. En effet, ce concept propose d’illuminer les roues de vélos et votre chemin grâce à l’utilisation de LEDs : blanche à l’avant et rouge à l’arrière. Une réussite à découvrir avec une vidéo explicative réalisée par Blake Bowers.
This modern pendant lamp, named Medusa, was inspired by the majestic jellyfish and mimics its elegant form and colorful fluorescence. Similar to the way the tissue of the jellyfish disperses light, the Medusa lamp creates a vibrant, directional glow from within its bell-shaped shade. Colorful translucent strands, visible only when looking into the shade, allude to tentacles and create a filtering effect with a spectrum of light intensities and magenta tones.
