Last week, we asked you which reality star beauty looked best while going to get pampered. While Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Conrad can’t decide to get along, they did both decide to opt for a casual, laid-back look while traipsing to their fave salons.

Kristin’s knit dress looked cute and comfy and her fedora and fringe bag were super stylish, while Lauren’s wide stripes and denim cut-off shorts accessorized with dark aviators and a camel bag screamed, ‘cool Cali-girl!’. But neither of these reality girls were able to take down queen of the reality scene, Kim Kardashian. Winning by a land-slide with 71% of your votes, it’s obvious that you guys loved Kim’s style of nonchalant chic. Sleek skinny jeans look sophisticated when paired with a relaxed nude blazer and sky-high platform sandals add sex appeal.

Which “Sex & The City 2” Star Was Best Dressed At The Film’s World Premiere?

imageJust two months ago, we caught up with only 3/4 of the ever-stylish SATC 2 gang back at ShoWest (Kim Cattrall was too busy being fabulous in the UK). However, all 4 leading ladies were finally reunited just in time to rule the red carpet (err, blue carpet!) at the film’s much-anticipated World Premiere at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. While rumor has it that the obscenely expensive film wardrobe is rather disappointing (say it ain’t so!), the stars definitely didn’t disappoint in person in their gorgeous gowns! Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis both popped in refreshing neon shades, rocking Valentino and vintage Jean Desses, respectively. Kim Cattrall (in a slinky, sparkly gold Naeem Khan number) and Cynthia Nixon (in a strapless Carolina Herrera gown) donned more classic evening-appropriate looks. Gotta Getaway to Cannes’ 1835 White Palm Hotel!

Which Star Shined At The 2010 World Music Awards?

imageWhile the rest of Hollywood (and the rest of the entertainment world!) has been kicking back at Cannes, some starlets opted to party it up in Monte Carlo at the 2010 World Music Awards. While the biggest winner of the night, Lady GaGa herself, wasn’t present to claim her golden gongs, Jennifer Lopez walked away with an award in honor of her contribution to the arts. All prizes aside, what we really had our sights on was the star-studded red carpet! Hayden Panetierre rocked a tight long-sleeved sheath while presenter pal Michelle Rodriguez looked uncharacteristically feminine in a daringly-sheer drape-y number. J. Lo went bold in a feathered animal print dress, while the Hilton sisters lit up the event in elegant floor-length gowns. But only one star can rule the red carpet! Vote below for your favorite look. Nikki, Lily, Or Taylor: Who Worked Her Side-Swept Curls Best?

imageWhile sleek and straight is a great way to look polished, romantic curls have always been a pretty solid red carpet staple. Whether wild and natural, retro and pin-curled, or barrel-curled to perfection, ringlets of at least some kind never seem to go out of style. However, one particular spiral style that has been spotted on recent red carpets has kind of thrown me off guard: side-swept curls. Kind of a strange mix between undone and overdone, the style takes the laid-back idea of wearing one’s hair down, but pins it (or sprays the heck out of it) to stay perfectly placed to one side. Whose Makeup Smoldered Most At The MET Gala?

imageWhile this year’s MET Gala seemed relatively more tame than the last in terms of imaginative (and in some guests’ cases, disastrous) fashion, last Monday’s ball still served as an outlet for celebrities of all kinds to sparkle and shine in their evening wear. However, as a beauty fiend I couldn’t help but focus more on the guests’ makeup and hair as they romped the red carpet, and while none were particularly innovative, wild, or GaGa-esque, I was pretty surprised at the variety of beauty looks across the board. Some celebs opted to tone it down like Sarah Jessica Parker, who boasted a summer glow in shimmery bronze and neutral hues, and Jessica Biel, who kept it earthy with plum cheeks and berry lipstick. On the other side of the spectrum, Jennifer Lopez went for the classic smokey eye look which complemented her untamed updo, while Sienna Miller focused only on her top lashline for a half-smoldering look that made her blue eyes pop. And of course Camilla Belle looked gorgeous as always, this time rocking a vintage-inspired Old Hollywood look with dramatic cat-eye liner that balanced her bold brows. While I’m all about an all-over summer glow myself, this post is all about incorporating season-festive bronze shades into other aspects of your makeup — eyes, lips, nails — and proving you can rock the color with or without a tan.
