Happy to say that the first SLOW movement has arrived in the Netherlands now too … luanching their website today with a gorgeous look. Founders Eva van Dongen, Marieke Verdenius and Marije Mulder are introducing us to a group of talented and creative 'Makers' and bringing a very inviting 'workshop' programme for the months to come.
Simply Slow aims to be a growing community by organising small get-togethers with a strong focus on authentic crafts, pure food and a high quality of life. The first get-together will take place on September 22 … Come. Let's Taste Honey.

Instead of preparing some posts for you I went to De Kleine Fabriek yesterday … a big trade fair for everything kids … and it was such a pleasure meeting Frank Visser from IJM studio… not only was his booth or should I say pop / prop up shop a magical little place showcasing his beautiful colors and paints it was also very nice to be able to chat with him for a little while.
I believe it was a very smart move from the Kleine Fabriek to invite him … he makes the creative difference at a fair like this.
Did you know that IJM has it's own Paint Collection available for you to order via this website. The site gives you a perfect guidance what color to choose by looking at the inspiration boards. My favorite is JUHU, what about you?
Frank also told me about his second book published at my favorite Belgian publisher called Luster his first 'Dutch architects and their houses' together with Morjam Bleeker was already gorgeous I am sure his second will be a spectacular feast of colors and inspiration.

From Morocco to the other side of the planet today to visit the home of my dear online friend Tiffany King and her husband Andrew.
A couple of years ago they bought this amazing 123-year-old-farmhouse in a small village in West Virginia … the house was clearly in need of some renovations … but Andrew and Tiffany weren't afraid to take on this quite intense job … gradually and probably perfectly planned, they have turned this farmhouse in modern family home.
By renovating and decorating each room with much love, warm and personal style Green Gables is a home that I wouldn't mind living myself … just look at these pictures in winter time … crazy romantic don't you think?
The good thing for all of is that they regularly blog over at five hundred miles and let us in on the secrets on how to renovate. Tips and tools are shown with great before and after images. I love blogs like these. They give so many ideas … all looking simple but we know that ain't the case 🙂
