This award-winning project by Oliver Elst applies the theme of reduction to the aesthetics and structure of this Mercedes concept, in the process creating an entirely new material and light-weight technology. The “sandwiched” material visible throughout the vehicle would consist of 3 layers- 2 for interior and exterior protection and an inner reactive filling that is used for temperature and lighting adjustment. The resulting aesthetic is an organic skin-like shell synthesized into a classic metal framework.

I love me a hatchback and I love me a Tesla! The Tesla C captures the brand’s unique design language in a forward-thinking 2-door city car that lives up to the original’s sporting intentions. Features include an all-glass top, motorized oversize side doors that slide toward the front rather than swing open and an electric motor/lithium-ion battery system for sporty performance without sporty emissions. Aesthetically, it’s in line with Tesla’s modern design direction and would be a perfect addition to their limited line of roadsters and sedans.

The Abarth 500 Bella Vista is a meaner version of the softer compact that’s perfect for zipping around the canyons, cruising the coastline, or simply letting your hair down to enjoy nice weather. Added features like dual air intakes, an aerodynamic carbon fiber air diffuser, and a speedy 1.4 T-Jet Abarth engine will appeal to drivers looking for a little more oomph!

The super compact CliQ concept is a futuristic look into the Land Rover brand’s inevitable need to design smaller EVs if it wants to hang in for the long haul. Designed with modularity in mind, the CliQ’s primary feature is a “remixable” exterior of body slices (yes, slices) that make it possible for drivers to easily change up the aesthetic of the vehicle on a whim. The aim was to create a vehicle that’s not only clean running, but has a long and evolving lifespan to further reduce it’s overall carbon footprint.
