Dezeen promotion: Dezeen’s pop-up retail concept The Temporium is going online this Sunday to guest-curate a collection of homeware by the likes of Jamie Hayon, Paul Cocksedge and Alexa Lixfeld on flash-sales site Llustre.

For just ten days from 6 May, visitors will be able to buy The Temporium favourites online, including Diamond Lights by Frama, indestructible maps by Palomar, USB stick jewellery by Logical Art, bike lights by Bookman, blankets by Teixidors, paper laptop sleeves by Papernomad and more.

We’re excited to announce that Llustre will be hosting a guest curation by Dezeen for ten days commencing Sunday 6 May.

Llustre is taking Dezeen’s pop-up concept, The Temporium, online. Dezeen is the leading online architecture and design publication, attracting more than two million readers each month; we are working together to give Llustre members the opportunity to buy products from a collection of Dezeen’s pick of designers for 2012.

Since our launch on 4 April 2012, Llustre has featured 58 designers from 14 different countries; we’ve helped 120,000 people discover great design for their homes; and sent authentic, original, good value products to customers in the UK, Australia, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands and Spain.

At Llustre we’re committed to building the best online destination for customers to find design inspiration and buy homeware to create a unique home they love to live in; we are also passionate about championing both established brands and emerging designers. On 20 April we launched a new feature for our customers called Window Shop to allow members to easily browse all of the products in our current collection and dive in whenever something catches their eye. Llustre
Llustre launched in April 2012 with a vision to make discovering and buying products for your home easy and enjoyable. It is a members’ only website providing inspiration and editorial to our readers and retailing designer homeware; offering a mix of limited edition pieces, new product launches and exclusive prices in a series of time-limited sales.

Llustre was founded by Tracy Doree and Vivienne Bearman; it has raised £1 million funding from a group of entrepreneurs and angel investors and is now a team of 20 based in London’s creative centre, Clerkenwell.

Llustre has brought together design experts from different fields, to share their expertise and favourite design products, and work with us to curate special sales events – our Style LLIST. Marcus Fairs, the Editor-in-Chief and cofounder of Dezeen, is the second of our Style LLIST to curate a range of designers on Llustre following Priscilla Carluccio’s who selected a range including Japanese and Moroccan lighting and ceramics from Reichenbach and Billy Lloyd.

Dezeen and The Temporium
Dezeen created The Temporium to take the design they champion in their online publication to the streets of London. Their first physical pop-up shop launched in December 2010 which was included in Time Out’s top 5 picks for independent Christmas stores in London and they repeated the success in December 2011 with an even bigger event in Covent Garden. We hope to bring their incredible eye for curation to design lovers across Europe.

Dezeen’s mission is to bring their readers a carefully edited selection of the best architecture, design and interiors projects from around the world before anyone else. It was launched at the end of November 2006 and has grown rapidly to become one of the most popular and influential architecture and design blogs on the internet and now receives over two million visits a month with traffic doubling every year.

The Temporium: illustrator Vic Lee‘s intricate prints documenting London streets are on show at our Christmas shop The Temporium, open until 24 December at 65 Monmouth Street, Seven Dials, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9DG.
Depicting Portobello Road, Columbia Road, Upper Street and a mixture of London stories, the designs are hand-printed in an open edition on 100% cotton paper.
Each one is signed, numbered and embossed with the artist’s mark.

Similar to Ziiiro’s earlier model Aurora, Celeste tells the time with colour.
The watch face consists of two coloured disks in place of hands.
These graduated disks move over each other as time passes, changing the mix of colour on the face throughout the day.
The model with the blue/black face uses the edge of the black area to represent the hour and the blue line at the edge of the blue area points to the minutes.
As they overlap a grey colour emerges across the face.
The watch with the blue/yellow face uses the edge of the blue area for the hour and the yellow line at the edge of the yellow area for minutes.
When the disks overlap the colours combine to create green.
The watch comes with a stainless steel mesh strap in black, silver or gunmetal.
Other Ziiiro products on Dezeen Watch Store include Aurora, which has a similar face but features a silicone strap, Gravity and Mercury that use two comet trails to indicate the time and the Orbit with two circling dots.

The Temporium 2011: Hamburg designer Alexa Lixfeld is presenting a range of handmade products at The Temporium including handwoven dolls based on drawings made by school children in Sri Lanka.
The childrens’ drawings are faithfully replicated in the designs for the dolls, which are then woven from cotton by women in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka.
Lixfeld will also bring her coloured porcelain crockery and vessels to The Temporium.
These objects have a matt exterior and glazed interior finish and celebrate the slight imperfections that result from hand-finishing processes.
Cashmere blankets that have been individually dyed and handwoven in Nepal will also be available at The Temporium.

The Mr Chocolate moustaches were developed by Ramos in collaboration with Barcelona chocolatiers Chocolat Factory.

The Temporium 2011: our Christmas shop The Temporium is now open! In the first of our Advent calendar stories, we’re giving away a Flying Santa card by London design consultancy Studio91 with the first 50 purchases made at the shop.
Worth £5 each, the Flying Santa cards are made from balsa wood with a laser-cut decoration showing Santa and his flying reindeer. They can be sent by post and assembled by the recipient to create a toy plane. Flying Santa cards are also available from Studio91′s online shop.
