The Globe lights comprise matte ceramic spheres on long flexes, which can be used on their own, grouped together or directed onto the bowls.

Each steel bowl is painted gloss white and they can either be placed on a surface or wall-mounted.

“The collection explores how geometric volumes relate to each other and the juxtaposition of materials and light,” say Studio Vit designers Helena and Veronica.

Referencing the look of incandescent light bulbs, the Marble Lights combine blown glass spheres with marble cylinders to create table, floor and pendant lights, plus floor weights that can be looped over a flex to secure the pendants.

The information below is from Studio Vit:

Marble lights is a collection in marble and glass.

Marble Lights by Studio Vit

Originating from an archetypal bulb and socket, it consists of glass spheres and cylindrical marble lamp holders in various sizes which can be freely combined.

Marble lights include table, floor and pendant lights, as well as three floor weights which can be used as counterweights to the suspended lights.

The aim of the collection is to create a product that is simple yet refined and generates a juxtaposition of volumes, materials and weights.

11 Boxes by Studio Vit:

studio vit is proud to present their first collection, 11 boxes, at the Milan Furniture Fair 2011.

11 Boxes by Studio Vit

11 boxes is a typology of storage units based on the idea of an archetypal box, each one distinguished by its shape and structural elements. Like characters in an alphabet, the boxes can be used on their own or grouped together, in the same way that single letters make words.

A playful and changeable collection, the boxes can form infinite unique compositions depending on the situation, available space and storage needs. Made from solid maple, each unit is equally finished on all sides and thus can be positioned anywhere in a room.
