South Korean designer Dong-yeop Han has created a series of storage boxes with duffle-coat toggles as fastenings.

The Toggle Toggle boxes each feature two maple doors on the front, fastened with three plastic toggles in either sky blue or green. The string and patch are made from leather.

“I was inspired by seeing people who were wearing a duffle coat and fastening the toggles to protect their body in the cold winter,” says Dong-yeop Han. “As people put their belongings inside this ‘toggle box’, they can be protected and stored safely.”

11 boxes is a typology of storage units based on the idea of an archetypal box, each one distinguished by its shape and structural elements. Like characters in an alphabet, the boxes can be used on their own or grouped together, in the same way that single letters make words.

A playful and changeable collection, the boxes can form infinite unique compositions depending on the situation, available space and storage needs. Made from solid maple, each unit is equally finished on all sides and thus can be positioned anywhere in a room.
