WhatsWear Finds Glasses Just Like Buddy Holly… But “Better”

imageJee Vice’s founder and designer, Philippe Vergez, started the brand with the intention of creating beautiful statement pieces that have a “firm yet subtle Baroque ‘n Roll attitude” for women. Numerous celebrities have gravitated toward his bold sunglasses (there’s no way you didn’t see Carrie Bradshaw wearing those fabulous orange shades), which are sold in over 25 countries. Now Vergez is ready to take the plunge into the world of prescription frames. His sunglasses have always drawn inspiration from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, but wait until you see what he’s come up with now. Being that Jee Vice is only a six-year-old company, it is impossible for the illustrious brand to release a collection of vintage frames. You may say that what they are doing (that is, to create a vintage-inspired collection) is the next best thing. Jee Vice, however, begs to differ — it’s not the next best thing; it’s better. In fact, “Better” is the name of one of the three styles in the “Revisited Collection.” Each style is a modern replica of a popular ’50s shape and comes in six different color schemes.
