TRIFLOW FUTURE TALENTS

Triflow Concepts Ltd runs design competition in association with 100% Design.

Triflow has been receiving submissions of designs for a pioneering new kitchen or bathroom tap or accessory. The entries will be shortlisted by a prestigious judging panel to include renowned British architect Zaha Hadid, celebrated interior designer and architect David Collins, Editor-in-Chief of Wallpaper* magazine Tony Chambers, Editor-in-Chief of Dezeen.com Marcus Fairs and design writer and consultant Caroline Roux.

The final shortlisted designs will be exhibited at the Triflow Concepts stand (J20) at 100% Design and the winner will be voted for by the public. The winning design will be announced on the final day of 100% Design and will be taken into production. More information to follow.

Triflow Future Talents is an opportunity for Triflow to support emerging British design, in acknowledgement of the company’s roots in British brassware manufacturing. Triflow Concepts, formerly known as Avilion, is a true UK manufacturing success story. The company was established in 1978 as a brassware manufacturer, excelling in producing high quality engineering solutions. Whilst over the past decade many brands have chosen to close their UK factories, transferring their manufacturing processes to the Far East and other low cost areas, Triflow
Concepts took the decision to strengthen its position in the UK.

The company continues to expand today. 2009’s collaboration with Zaha Hadid has been an important part of Triflow’s return to the innovative roots from which it grew. Triflow’s three-way water technology – which allows filtered water to be dispensed through a separate internal channel alongside the standard hot and cold waterway – is a world first and, now patented, is yet to be challenged. This technology offers a hassle-free, eco-friendly alternative to bottled water and continues to distinguish Triflow from its competitors.

Triflow is delighted to be working with 100% Design London – the UK’s leading architecture and design event showcasing everything for the modern building and interior. 100% Design London features world-class interiors show 100% Design, innovative and sustainable architectural products event 100% Detail, cutting-edge materials exhibition 100% Materials and emerging talent showcase 100% Futures.

As part of an ever-growing global brand (100% Design Shanghai and 100% Design Tokyo) 100% Design London this year is pleased to announce that JAM will take over as the show’s creative director, following in the footsteps of Ben Kelly, Tim Pyne, and more recently Tom Dixon.
