Since my alarm isn’t within arm’s reach, I always have to physically haul myself out of bed every time I want to smack the snooze button! The techie braniacs at Moshi clearly had everyone’s lazy-bum side in mind when they invented the Voice Control Alarm Clock. Now you can shut your alarm clock off (or set the time, or check the temperature, or even set your next alarm time) by simply telling it off — with its trusty voice control technology. I’m kind of thinking this device is dangerous for those who sleep like the dead (or those who talk in their sleep), but it does sound awfully convenient for us anti-morning people!

Runway Inspiration: Embellished Tights

imageI have never met an embellishment I didn’t like. From loads of crystals on a plain old tee to a fully jewel-encrusted mini dress, I’m definitely guilty of loving all things sparkly and shiny. As if the jeweled trend couldn’t get any more popular, we now have bedazzled legwear. Armani and Miu Miu gave us socks and Doo.Ri, Ungaro and Zac Posen showed tights that were beaded, jeweled and printed to perfection. They’re a great way to upgrade some of your already stellar fall looks with a rather small investment (this is, unless you’ve got your sights set on the pair shown at Miu Miu… those will set you back $435). Cynthia Rowley makes a great pair of jewel encrusted black ones, or if you’re feeling a little rock ‘n roll, a pair covered in studs. WhatsWear Shows You How To Dress the Part: Sexy Sixties Secretary

Shabby Apple’s Manhattan line exudes flirtatious appeal with ’60s-esque dresses synonymous with the sexy secretary and demure housewife looks we see on retro shows like Mad Men. The dresses are all about form-fitting bodices paired with fuller skirts, allowing them to be worn around the office and on social occasions. A personal recommendation goes to the Madison Avenue dress, which is made up with a black and white houndstooth material and trench coat detailing. Another particularly notable piece is the Fifth Avenue dress. This piece consists of a pencil skirt dress decorated with a high-waisted giraffe print “skirt” and a pleated neck line.
