Bottle Crate And Their Story

A typical bottle crate can hold thirty bottles, however the design of the crate leaves room for more to fit in. The Up & Down Box can hold twenty more by accommodating upside-down bottles between the upright bottles! How cool is that!

  • Its inner framework supports upright bottles as well as upside-down ones between them.
  • The number or crates required when transporting bottles is reduced.
  • Storage and delivery are more efficient, and the work of delivery people is made much easier.

Up & Down Box is a 2013 red dot award: design concept winner.

Just Saves More Lives!

As simple as that may seem, the design of the More Life Saver is complex yet simple at the same time. During an emergency situation at sea, it may not be possible to get those many lifebuoys out in time. Thus the “More life saver” plays an important role in such situations. The soft plastic material transforms from C- lifebuoy to a linear lifebuoy, and becomes a float, which many people can use. Kinda helps in saving more lives.

How a regular guy invented a life-saving car option

Every year, numerous children die because of heat stroke from being left in parked cars. It’s unnecessary and avoidable, so when Opel challenged drivers to imagine their own car options, a warehouse worker by the name of Kenny Devlieger came up with an ingenious solution for giving vehicles an added layer of safety for protecting children. See how it works —>

Gabriel is a small key ring that is connected wirelessly to a pressure-sensitive mat made to fit every kind of child seat. Whenever the driver leaves the car with the child seat still occupied, an initial warning will sound. From that point on, the mat constantly measures the temperature inside the car. If it rises above 28 degrees Celsius, the heat alarm on the key ring will go off, signalling the driver to return immediately to the car.
Gabriel is an option that could benefit everyone. That’s why it was conceived in a way that it’s compatible with any vehicle, of any make or model.

Analog for Dummies

If you’re like me, you probably wear a watch out of habit and less for actually telling the time. After all, it’s just easier to look at your phone! Finally! A watch is for us lazy folk! The Mask watch’s two rotary layers display only the numbers you’re really looking for, making it fast and easy to check the time. In pure white or black, its subtle minimalist style looks great too.

A Different Kind of Decanter

The idea for Birdie decanter was born out of the interplay between geometrical shapes like cones and spheres. Simple yet sophisticated, its distinct shape provides a steady, ergonomic grip, and a spherical top piece that offers a very precise fit. In two sizes, one for wine (80 cl) and one for water (50 cl). Birdie can also be ordered in four translucent colors: grey, purpul, blue and yellow. Get it here!

Third Eye for Cyclists

With more and more urban dwellers opting for bicycles over cars, it’s to be expected that more riding accidents between regular traffic and cyclists will occur. The Safeye system adds an additional layer of protection to riders by giving them a view of following traffic. The system detects when an object (such as a car) has approached from behind, first alerting to the rider with tactile vibration in the handles, and then on their smartphone with a live video feed from the rear facing camera.

Solar Stick With USB! Wow!

I am going to be honest with you; I have seen many ideas and concepts that look at harnessing solar power, but none as creative as the eSaving. Here is a device with a retractable solar sheet and ability to charge devices using a USB base. It features 2 regular USB connections and 1 for the USB 2. Love the clean and simple approach towards problem solving.

wPad

There is only one word for the Wise Pad – exceptional! Here is a tablet that has a device that is piggybacking on it and can be used to make calls and even juice up via kinetics. I bet there will be some complex tech involved, which only my engineering friends will be able to help figure out. Until then I am going to enjoy this project as a concept and so should you!

Gliding Light

They call it the Magic Lamp but, truthfully, it’s much too smart of a design to be anything magic! It combines the age-old magnetism with modern LED technology, applying both to a beautiful and functional fluid form. Using a rare earth permanent magnet, the lighting unit can glide and turn along the curved double track to achieve the perfect angle for working or simply setting the mood.
