Wheels Of The Truck Go Red, Amber, Green!

The Trignal is a self-charging LED Light that is fitted to a truck’s wheel as a hubcap. It not only glows at night, giving other motorists fair warning of the truck’s presence on the road but also visually communicates its speed. If the truck is moving at a safe pace then the wheels glow a demure green. If the driver is being rash and tardy then it glows a bright red.

The hubcaps may not make sense on well-lit highways of the West, but I know for a fact the highways of many Asian countries can do with this hub-light system. It would probably save many lives.

The Tringal is a 2012 Liteon Award winning entry.

Ooo La La Lighting!

The OOO lamp derives its name from the ultra-thin, perfectly circular plate that composes its shade. The swiveling shade is made possible by using a rotary joint and dual magnets that connect the tubular arm to the top and bottom plates. The result is a a sculptural lighting object with fewer parts, straightforward assembly, and easy functionality! Simply give the shade a light press to focus the light in any direction, or position it upright to hide direct light and create an ambient glow.

Opposite, but the same.

According to a Chinese philosophy known as Taijitu, life is based on a fundamental value of the harmonies that exist between opposites (think yin & yang!). Inspired by this duality, this pair of candelabras express the dynamic interplay of polar opposites with contrasting materials and colors. Both share the same form, but one is of cold, industrial metal and the other of warm, natural wood. Together, they’re a beautiful accent to the modern interior.

Thunder Lamp

The simplistic Thunder lamp makes great use of cutting-edge OLED technology with its 3 swiveling, modular sections that provide fully flexible positioning for custom light coverage. As for its name, the bolt-shaped lamp also pairs wirelessly with your smartphone and flashes when you have incoming calls – similar to the sound and flash with thunder and lightning!

Good things come in threes…

Named after the triplet sections of 3 OLED disc lights, the 3×3 MACH 9 pendant lamp is a versatile pendant with numbers on its side. The adjustable lighting arms allow the user to change the structure and create numerous geometric shapes and variable lighting patterns. The playful functionality encourages interaction and the versatile nature of the design makes it a great solution for both commercial and residential lighting.

Bright Bamboo

Inspired by the wood-grass of the same name, the Bambú lamp adopts the form of the bamboo’s iconic, column-on-column shape in a multifunctional lighting solution with a subtle oriental feel. The smaller of the two sizes doubles as a stool, side table or even a bucket for keeping your sake cold while the other is primarily purposed as a planter for larger vegetation. In pure white polypropylene resin, it’s a durable and attractive addition to modern spaces, inside and out.
