You’ll iLove this iPhone Tray

The cleverly designed Smart Tray merges the functionality of an iPhone charging dock into a minimal mood lamp/speaker combination that’s great on the bedside or desktop. While one version uses USB cables, the other utilizes inductive charging, allowing the user to simply throw their phone down on the lamp/speaker and forget about it. Control the light and tunes directly from your Bluetooth-capable devices!

Steel and Flower Inspired Lighting

Orchids have long been a symbol of love and beauty and have been grown by enthusiasts in admiration of their elegance. One of these enthusiasts is designer YoungJae Kim who created this design, the Orchid Lamp, in honor of the flower. Following the signature tall form of the orchid, the lamp extends upward but still maintains an aesthetic lightness as it looms over the workspace. In stainless steel and genuine leather, it’s an elegant desktop accent perfect for the professional office.

Lamp Envy

The Fosterlamp is a tad minimal, a touch space age and plenty mod. Easy functionality, a diminutive size and a frosted glow make it a great task light or nightstand accent. The simple design harkens back to the mid-century era and will fit into many styles of decor. Admittedly, it’s a bit phallic… but overall nice to look at!

Lighting Gone Green

The latest in a trend of plant lamps (or as I like to call them “plamps”), the Green Lamp features a lattice shade and neck that stems directly out of a soil pot. Plant your favorite vine and watch it creep up to create an organic leaf shade you can trim yourself. A little shabby chic but I kinda love it. Bet you never thought your lamp would need sun!

Nature Transformed

Gotta love Floris Wubben’s latest lamp design… Stripped! Each lamp is constructed using just one branch – pieces are split to form the legs and main extension while bark removed from the branch is peeled to create the shade. The design aims to maintain the natural form of the tree branch as much as possible while the process ensures that no two lamps are exactly alike!

Screwless Glueless Wonder

Inspired by the painter’s easel, this bare-bones task lamp is composed of little more than a mirrored, Y-shaped frame supporting a socket, bulb and shade. With the shade held in place by the bulb and on/off functionality built into the cord, the design doesn’t require adhesives or screws to keep everything in place. A perfect minimal accent to your desktop!

Hand-spun Lighting

Vim & Vigor’s SF lamp series pays homage to the vanishing art of hand spinning metal. Each of the 3 shades are spun before a signature “key hole” is punched in the side. This gap creates a visual perplexity that makes the otherwise symmetrical design appear to change depending on the viewing angle.

Hypnotized by Light

Inspired by the symmetries of the dahlia blossom, the Hypnotic lamp not only provides an inviting glow, but its unique patterns also make it a captivating wall accessory. The geometry of the flower has been transformed into a hexagonal grid transferred on a plane, deforming the pattern to create a three dimensional impression that changes with the viewers perception.
