Bookhou furniture

Bookhou

what do you think ? …. gorgeous right, like always … Bookhou rocks!

Donna Wilson

Donnawilson_bed

Can I please lay down here … a new baby is just fantastic but also very tiresome … he still wakes up every 2,5 to 3 hours so you can probably imagine that I would do anything for a long night sleep and it would of course even be better when surrounded by these beautiful accessories from Donna Wilson and how about some ‘breakfast in bed‘ … read a little more here

Strap stool

Dianestyverlinck

Still a prototype, but hopefully this year the gorgeous Strap Stool by Belgium designer Diane Steverlynck will be in production and available for us to buy!

Schubladen

Schubladen

When I first saw these gorgeous cabinets over at the lovely blog Visual-Notes they reminded me of the chest of drawers called Decades by WIS design … I have no idea who  came first with this very clever concept … and frankly I don’t really care, I just know Ilike both concepts very much and I think the chests from German based design studio, Schubladen are fantatstic! SchubLaden, means ´drawers´ in German is a unique shop in the
Berlin-Kreuzberg´s Graefedistrict and it is devoted to the reuse of old
unmated drawers … hooray for re-cycling!

New PS Collection by Hella Jongerius (again) for IKEA

Hellajongerius_ikea

Why did I miss these incredible new wall-hangings from Hella Jongerius for IKEA when I visited IKEA yesterday here in Malaysia … maybe I was to focused on getting some things for the small nursery we are creating for the new baby … or the wall-hangings haven’t arrived yet in Kuala Lumpur IKEA, but one thing is for sure, I will visit again this week and try to buy one of them, they could even look very beautiful in the new baby bedroom?

Hellajongerius_ikea_ps

The wall hangings are part of the PS collection and consists of three different pieces, Pelle, Mikkel and Gullspira. Hella Jongerius created them for the IKEA-Unicef programme, which helps women in India to start up small sewing businesses and enables their children to go to school. Sources of inspiration are the animals that feature in Swedish fairy tales.

{ps. if you would like to know whether your IKEA is selling them give the customer service at your IKEA one of these article numbers:80144599, 80154258, 60154259 and they should be able to tell whether they carry the items}

Beelden Bouwers = Image Builders

Ellenseegers {‘Kluifcabinet designed by Ellen Seegers}

When I saw images of this great cabinet over at NinainVorm. I just had to know a little bit more about the creator(s) … apparently Ellen Seegers from BeeldenBouwers designed the cabinet as a customized project for a family home in the Netherlands … together with Arno Tummers, Ellen started BeeldenBouwers in 1999 and together, but also solo, they create and design beautiful and unique objects for the home …

Sleegers   And how about this superfun cabinet called Monster? … I LOVE it ! Ellen designed this unique piece together with Jolanda Slegers
already in 2005 and I wish something similar would be available here
in KL, but I guess I have to move back to the Netherlands and ask Ellen to create a customize piece for us …

Beeldhouwers

A new project Ellen and Arno have been working on is the Woollight collection … lamps made of used wool blankets … the wool material has been subjected to
a treatment which is transparent and remain in shape … the result is
unique, very creative and special! … available by sending BeeldenBouwers an email {via NinainVorm}

Alexhellum_chairs

The new furniture collection by Alex Hellum is truly my kind of style … for example the ‘Vic open plywood chair’ is timeless and would fit with any dining-table … and the ‘peg chair’ will make every entrance look special … over at BloesemKids I’m showing some of his children’s furniture, including a fantastic little horse chair … and all his designs can be found here on his website including manufacturing and selling information.
