Can’t decide if this is cool or just ridiculous, but either way, the Night Shadow motorcycle inspired by Jaguar’s logo is definitely unique.

Of all the things that could be made glamorous, raw meat is an unlikely candidate. However, Australia’s largest chain of premium quality meats, 133-year-old ‘Victor Churchill‘, has done so. They’ve made themselves the Prada of meats, with the help of Dreamtime Australia Design (a Sydney-based firm).

Inspired by 1920’s board track racers, these bikes are definitely pushing the limits of motorized biking. Check out their product line here. Nice stuff!
Makes you wish you weren’t in front of a computer, this thing looks like a ton of fun…
Check out the site for today’s pic, as well as a write-up on this one (from March 6).
Smart, simplistic concept for a table-top or hanging light inspired by a solar eclipse. More information and other projects can be found on their blog.
New work and new website…
They aspire to inspire, working across a broad spectrum of mediums. Although the use of geometric shapes isn’t particularly groundbreaking theses days, I’m a huge fan of how they intermingle them with clipped and/or obstructed artwork. I love seeing hand skills interacting with contemporary design in a world gone digital. The duo from Norway recently hung this show at Galleri Darbu (below).
Some other great stuff from Oh Yeah Studio…
Working out of New York, Wiley juxtaposes black and brown men in everyday clothing with classic compositions, surrounded by ornate patterns.
His now iconic style has been recognized by Puma, who recently commissioned Wiley to create portraits for their 2010 World Cup campaign. His patterns even made their way into some of the clothing design. I’m all over that zebra hoodie!
A great piece from Art Center College of Design student Andrew Johnson.
The book talks about L.A.’s oil history and how that past is often hidden by it’s celebrity stricken landscape.
I wonder if these folks wear white loafers and drink coffee out of Wally World Moose Mugs? Awesome name. Awesome work. Via The Strange Attractor
Some excellent work from the London-based designer, specializing in book covers. This one caught my eye a few weeks ago, and after contacting him I was able to get some of his latest to share (see below).
He’s been designing since 1998; first at Bloomsbury Publishing, later at Penguin, and currently freelances out of a shared studio with a ping pong table in North London. Sounds good to me! Check out his site for more.
