Analog-ital Clock

ZEIT brings analog and digital together in a striking, minimal timepiece that’s sure to be the focal point of any wall. Embedded in the tip of each hand is an LED light that gives a subtle projection of the time in numbers directly on the wall. When the two hands are in line, time is reflected only on the minute hand to avoid blending the time displays.

Time in Color

Gotta love this clever take on the modern watch! The Colorclock redefines the way we envision time by slowly transitioning the hue of the face across the color spectrum as time goes by. Now you get up five minutes to green, grab some lunch at half-past yellow, and go to bed at the stroke of purple. Do want!

Klok for Dummies

Digital clock designs tend to be ugly and oddly difficult set up, but the KLOK is a fresh take on the digital clock/iPhone dock that makes things easy as pie! A single button/knob graces the front and needs only to be turned left to adjust minutes and right to adjust hours, then press once to set the time. To set the alarm, just readjust the time and press twice! It’s easy to remember, so you don’t have to worry about losing the manual!

For the Archaeologist Within

Bones is a one-of-a-kind timepiece that was inspired by the strength and stability of the skeletal structure, and much in the same way our bones support our bodies, the bright ceramic shell protects and stabilizes the soft wood detail throughout the watch. The unique combination of materials and natural shapes creates an interesting, organic aesthetic that’s sure to be a conversation starter.

Improve Your Mental Agility

Heard of the “pomodoro” technique? It’s all the rage amongst PhD’s, academics, and students all over the world! This tool, called the Pomodorogon, enhances the visual and physical aspects of the technique, using an action and visual cue to create a rhythmic working pattern. It’s also double-sided, so you can take it to a pomodoro group, or sit opposite a like-minded co-worker. It will help you get into the rhythm of the technique, and motivate you to complete whole cycles at a time!

The pomodoro technique is a time management tool that is used to increase productivity and efficiency in the workplace. it breaks down workflow into several key elements: planning, tracking, recording, processing and visualizing. The technique uses a time breakdown in order to encourage efficiency: 4 working periods (each 25 minutes) with 5 minutes of rest in between. at the end of the fourth period, an extended break of 25 minutes is allowed before starting the cycle again.

The Pomodorogon focuses on the visual and tracking aspects of this technique, creating visual and physical connections through object and movement with the pomodoro workflow. The user rotates the shape at the beginning and end of each interval. 8 sides, 8 periods of time. When the unit is on a number: 25 minutes of work. When the unit is on the arrow: 5 minutes of rest. The arrow after the fourth working period signifies the extended 25 minute break.

When it Couldn’t Get Easier…

Especially compared to digital clocks, analog ones are easy enough to change when daylight savings time hits, right? WRONG- there’s always room for improvement! Proof- the Ambigu wall clock has a hanging element on the reverse side that’s very similar to standard designs but with one major difference: dual-positioned hook spaces that make it possible to easily rotate the clock one hour forward or backward in accordance with the time changes. Each hour mark on the clock’s minimal face is exactly the same so no need to take it off the wall!

The Present Clock

The simplest alarm as a knob

What we’re looking at right here is a device that essentially amounts to a countdown sound-blaster with a user-interface that’s just about as easy to use as humanly possible. That’s what it’s all about, and it’s the details that make it just fantastic enough to be the most awesome little twist-and-snooze gadget on the block.

What you’ve got here is the “Timer Switch” – simply titled – designed by Myeong Ho Kang, made to be both lovely in its simple aesthetic state and simple to use. You twist the rim and watch the numbers appear along the area between the edge and the center button. When you see the amount of time you desire, you press the button.

Once the timer goes off, a sound and a light goes on, and you’ve only to tap the button back to its off-state to reset.
