The Meanwhile timepiece collection combines the traditional characteristics of pocket watches dating back as far as the 16th century with modern minimalism in a series of designs that are as bare as they are beautiful. Like the original designs, these watches lack a minute hand and are secured by leather straps but differ from their overly decorated, chained ancestors in their simplicity and mixture of modern materials like polished steel and concrete with traditional brass.

This minimalist take on the clock is composed of just 3 moving circles that indicate the time in a totally new but intuitive way. The large and medium circles that make up the main clock face rotate to indicate the hour while the smaller circle within the medium “hour” circle indicates the minutes. It also glows in the dark so it’s easy to tell time at night. Gotta love it!

Mi sfugge al momento il modello della famosa lampada da scrivania che utlizza questa struttura che tra l’altro ho anche montato a casa. Tuttavia lo Studio Dreimann ha pensato bene di montarci un orologio al posto del paralume.
