The combination of the currently warm weather and depressing economy brings back fond childhood memories of my carefree summers spent at Girl Scout Camp. We used to do all sorts of fun things like hiking, face painting, arts & crafts — and as a fashion maven in training, one of my favorite activities was a leather-working workshop where we would get to make our own leather bangles, barrettes, and accessories by etching designs into the material or gluing on tacky feathers or jewels.
