Now this is a Jag

Without looking, take a minute to describe what you imagine a Jag looking like… chances are, you just described the classics AND the modern Jaguar XK-I concept. It’s an automotive brand that relies heavily on its name; a name originally synonymous with dramatic curves, top-notch materials, thoroughbred British performance, and overall star-quality of the earlier 50s and 60s models. It’s nice to see a Jag concept that embodies the roots of the brand when it was in its prime!

This vehicle features a unique transforming magnetic wheel system.

The vehicle is based on an innovative mechanism, as it possesses both frequency abilities and previous wheel mobility. Since it heads towards the hexagonal direction of greenhouse, it has been designed so that more diverse directions can be filmed. In addition, it has been designed in the way that it possesses spacious interior space with very wide left-and-right body and safe un-turning position.

Roll and R1de

The futuristic R1 (Roller 1) concept vehicle was designed for the not-so-distant 2030s and aims to shed light on what might be expected from urban vehicles of the future. Powered by hydrogen fuel-cell technology, the R1 moves on 4 spherical wheels capable of cross-directional movement, making it ideal for parking, changing lanes, or turning on a dime. The small size of the hydrogen power plant provides more cockpit space on a lightweight chassis and also makes its low profile possible.

Mini Transformer

The age of super-compacts is in full swing, but with that smaller wheelbase comes compromise in stability. MONO is a transformable EV that adapts its stance to maximize the driving experience whether you’re in the city or on the open road. The vehicle automatically adjusts the wheelbase depending on road type, traffic, or speed to ensure stability and practicality no matter the driving conditions. In its compact form the EV is only slightly larger than a motorcycle, making it perfect for zipping around the city.

Limitless Hybrid Audio

The Bang & Olufsen Play concept is a hybrid speaker system that seamlessly transforms from full-fledged automotive surround-sound to a transportable compact boom box. The idea: why spend money on both a premium car sound system and a portable radio when you can have both in one easy-to-use product? Charge it in the car and use it when you’re camping, hanging at the beach, or for those spontaneous moments that just need a little background music.

The Ultimate Citi Bike

This is the future and the city’s business district frowns upon those who bring their cars to work. The alternate arrangement is to leave your car at a distant parking lot and cycle your way to work. Why? Overpopulation has taken its toll on the city and this is a plausible solution. In comes the Ford Citi Bike, one that is designed for easy mounting and holding gadgets like laptops and iPad.

Its shape came from a user friendly perspective where the owner wont have to lift their legs up high to mount-dismount the bike, this way makes it easy to ride it with whatever kind of clothing. The mechanism of the bike consists in gears, and dented bands for traction, and torsion bars for steering.

Predator of the Road

Considering that they’re the world’s fastest land mammal (and just plain cool), it’s surprising there aren’t more transportation designs inspired by the cheetah. Designer Balázs Filczer’s 2-seater V12 Cheetah-R concept is designed around the animal’s anatomical features which are completely built for speed: muscles, prominent spine, and robust stance. Like the fast cat- it’s lean, and mean, and looks like it’s in a constant state of muscle flexing!

Laser GPS In Broad Daylight

The Open Sight is a navigational aid for bicycles that imbibes a safer approach towards riding than traditional gadgets. The case point made by the designer is that we tend to get distracted while trying to find our way using a GPS Navigator. Hence accidents happen; to avoid this situation, the Open Sight GPS beams out powerful directional laser arrows that are visible even during the day. So basically you end up concentrating on your path rather than consulting the GPS interface for directions. The idea has some steam to it and with appropriate refinements I’m sure this can go on to become a good lifesaver!

City-Ready Citroen

The Citroen DS BiRotor merges the aesthetic attention to detail of top-end brands with the efficiency & economic sensibility of modern hybrid-drive vehicles. Laser headlights, AMOLED driver interface, carbon fiber everywhere, & a photosensitive polycarbonate roof/windows are just a few of the pros… but what sets it apart are the innovative tires which adapt to weather & driver demands by expanding & contracting to allow for water flow, increased traction, or higher efficiency. Hit the jump to see how it works!
