Spend Less When You Shop These Investment-Worthy Pieces!

imageIf you’re a shopaholic and your new year’s resolution is to start saving money then this article is for you. I’ve done a lot of posts on investment worthy pieces like trench coats, peacoats, and other basics. For the most part I follow my own advice, but I’ve had my share of stumbles too. I keep buying the same $20 jeans I only sorta kinda like to wear. So instead of spending $100 on 5 pairs of jeans I don’t really love, I should have gone for one pair that I love. It’s just not necessary for me to have a pair of jeans for every day of the week. I swear by the Real Straight jeans in the dark wash from Gap, and they’re less than $70 but fit like a $200 pair. I’m also guilty of buying drugstore tights that run after every use so I guess I could have just spent all that money on a pair of Wolfords. At first it may not seem like you’re saving money, but buying something once does save you time and money in the long run. And yes, sometimes having less is more! Take a look at my slideshow to see more investment-worthy pieces and also keep your other new year’s resolution of paring down your closet. (And don’t forget to donate the clothes you decide not to keep!)
