New York Fashion Week F/W 2010: Caroline Seikaly

imageOn the 25th floor of the Bryant Park Hotel just overlooking the tents across the street, designer Caroline Seikaly presented 18 gorgeous looks that are perfect for any black tie event or red carpet. Her fall 2010 collection focused on lace and silk, creating an exceptionally ethereal collection. Thoughts of black and lace together may conjure up feelings of Morticia Addams, but Caroline was able to avoid the goth look with backless dresses with a tulle overlay, rose prints, and chic cocktail length dresses. The RiSD graduate cut her teeth in couture with Christian LaCroix before joining Karl Lagerfeld’s team for six years, and her experience shows with impeccable tailoring. It’s no wonder budding ingenue Hayden Panettiere wore a Caroline Seikaly creation to The Late Show with David Letterman last year! Take a peek at my slideshow to see the gowns.
