New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010: Sachin + Babi

imageUpon first glance at the Sachin + Babi Fall/Winter 2010 collection, it became instantly clear that the husband and wife designer duo were ready to really brighten up the rather gloomy Fashion Week kick-off. Their latest line, which has taken traditional fall staples like slacks, sweaters, and wrap dresses and given them some serious pizzazz, lacks nothing in the realm of hue and sparkle. With a use of color that’s been amped up to the max and bold details like sequin pinstripes, feathered layers, fur, and jeweled bowties, the collection is distinctly feminine but with an in-your-face edge and a brightness that still manages to look fall-appropriate.
