Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM Runway: Diesel

This year, Diesel came through with contrasting colors and daring silhouettes at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week swimwear runway shows, fittingly held in Miami. Always known for their industrialized and city chic style, Diesel presented a swimwear collection that was exciting, sexy and right on with their brand image. Classic black and white was made edgy and pop colors included vibrant, sensual red and icy-cold metallics. Besides the regular length board shorts, there were trunks that would be better classified as briefs, and not swimwear, in bright blues, shocking reds and funky patterns. Definitely for the confident beach-goer! Aside from the blazing bikinis and boxer brief trunks, Diesel also presented some casual beach coverings for those who want to show a little modesty. Models with football shoulder pads and sporty knee socks paraded down the catwalk, but it was the luxuriously laid-back look of shirts, pants and dresses that caught the eye. Simple silhouettes were made edgy with added details and interesting fabrics. The sack dress cover-up had a nonchalantly chic style that could work for evenings on the beach, or for a night out with some rocker-style accessories. Loose fitted tops and stark white skinny jeans gave the men an air of European sex appeal. A personal favorite off the Diesel swim runway? The overall-inspired, olive green one-piece, a totally original idea that’s sexy yet demure and would look amazing under a pair of white shorts!
