Alas, An Ergonomic Shovel

While working in his parents backyard, Bosse Tools founder Stephen Walden labored through hours of back & arm strain & thought there had to be a better way! He decided to combine the traditional shovel with the ease of use found in a hedge trimmer. The result is a tool that improves posture, reduces back strain, relieves wrist pain, & minimizes shoulder injury. All thanks to the addition of a revolutionary rotating center handle. Check it out & pre-order your’s here because this concept is soon to be a reality!

The Sawdust Sucker Upper

The average person doesn’t keep construction goggles or a shop-vac handy, so it’s likely that you know just how irritating it can be to have dust and debris flying all over the place (especially in your eyes) when you’re using a drill! This ingenious device called the Motorless Vacuum uses the drills own rotational power to move the internal fan and create suction which draws dust into the reservoir. After you’re finished drilling, just remove the peripheral and dump the sawdust!

Subtle Sensory Feedback Through Food

The Double Contrast Glass, Jug, Hob Guard, Plate B, Mug, Cutlery and Chopping Board with Chopping Knife are all a part of the Leaven Range of Cutlery And Kitchen Tools for a person who is suffering from partial or full sight loss. Essentially the range is very interactive and with subtle hints and indentations is able to provide sensory feedback to the user. With the intention of making the dining experience more confident and fulfilling, I think designer Simon Kinneir has addressed and resolved quite a few key issues.

For lumberjacks who want to keep their limbs…

Accidents while sawing are generally the result of the user turning their body to achieve a certain angle while cutting trees horizontally. In this awkward position, the saw often slips from the user’s grasp, spinning from the torque before coming into contact with a leg or other extremity. To solve this problem, the Rotation Saw is fitted with a revolving handle so the user can adjust the angle at which they’re cutting without moving from the proper body position. Hit the vid to see it in action!

Tools for Dummies

I’m the worst when it comes to losing the tools in my toolbox – I can never find what I need, which is exactly why I’m loving the latest design from Bolt Group. The ReadyTools series keeps all the components in the handle of the tool and a nifty pull-out tray keeps them organized and tucked safely away until the next time you need them. In regular wrench and socket wrench versions, they’re also a great way to save space or take on the move.
