Monday’s quick start: nala pillows and wishes

Nala_kussens

Last week we shared a lot of images from the Milan furniture fair 2012 and I will do so later today and tomorrow… but the person who made these images for us is Lisette Scheers, creative director from company La Scheers&Co and Nala designs.

Nala designs is the name of her label of accessories, stationery, totes and pillows. The patterns for all of these are Lisette’s hand drawn illustrations. I really love them and am happy to share them on Bloesem today.

You can find them all in the webshop right here

Monday’s quick start: Avifauna for Rubelli by studio Maarten Kolk & Guus Kusters

Avifauna_Rubelli

I always enjoy seeing the work by studio Maarten Kolk & Guus Kusters and the new collection called Avifauna they designed for Italian textile producer Rubelli is simply stunning!

Maarten and Guus made a special series of Avifauna birds, which will be shown at Spazio Rossana Orlandi, during the 2012 Salone del Mobile in Milan. The series contains 13 different birds varying from a swan and stork to a woodcock and a quail, all covered in Reticolo Ardesia fabric form Rubelli’s collection.

Guuskusters

in their own words… “After having observed, analyzed and documented nature, we’ve stared with Avifauna to materialize nature as we see it. In every new project we learn more about the change of land, water and the flora and fauna that go with it. Being designers we see blossoming timber, bleeding textiles, moving garlands and a limitless offer of techniques in the ways nature constantly changes and adapts. We try to materialize our observations and bring it closer to the industry we work in. In Avifauna we molded on the conserved parts of the species to materialize their characteristics in textiles."

Monday’s Quick Start… ‘beautiful around the world’

Beautifularoundtheworld2

….. Gong Xi Fa Cai = Happy Chinese New Year ……

yes I know I am one day late, but I was also celebrating my 40th Birthday yesterday!

And it was a super beautiful day, enjoying some time in Singapore with my three men. Thank you all who left messages on my facebook page and twitter!

I thought these pillows by 'beautiful around the world' are very appropriate for this occasion. My dear friend Yvonne Kusters who lives in Kuala Lumpur but is Dutch from origine has founded her Beautiful Bag company already some years ago, but only recently she has added these happy pillows to her collection.
