Monday’s quick start: SevenGauge

Seven_Gauge_Studio_2013

Hello lovelies!

I hope you have had a great weekend? We adjusted well and are ready for the almost final quarter of this year. Many exciting things to happen for me and for Bloesem. Will keep you posted of course 🙂

During our vacation in the Netherlands I decided that I have to go back to some of things that I really enjoy doing .. one of them is knitting and while searching for knitted home accessories I ran into these pillows and throws by seven gauge studios.

I love their vibrant colors and of course the styling in a contemporary setting. I learnt on their about page that the items are made with a knitting machine, which I want to learn too … so if anyone knows where I can buy one PLEASE let me know!

Monday’s quick start: Maartje van den Noort

Maartje

We just spend our last weekend in the Netherlands after a beautiful summer and extreme nice weather… this week it is time to fly back to our 'normal' life in Asia. Always a bit sad to leave our family and friends again and knowing you will be going back to a life where you always feel a bit like a stranger but that is also the interesting and exciting part… and I am convinced that living in Singapore is best for me and my family at this point in our lives. I have said it so many times before but I do believe that SG has so much to offer and I just love the climate and sunshine …

But let's start this week with some beautiful work by Maartje van den Noort from the Ntehrlands whom I finally met in person …. very briefly though but nice enough to get an impression of this talented lady …

A while ago her home was featured here on Bloesem.

Monday’s quick start: NU leather handles

NU_handle-green

You might have seen them before but I still like them very much and thought these lovely leather handles by NU need to be shown here at Bloesem Living too. NU interieur | ontwerp is a design studio from the Netherlands …

When these couldn't find the perfect leather handle they were looking for, for one of their interior design projects they thought designing one themselves. Handle is available in different colors and in three sizes: S, M and L. You can order the handles in their shop right here.

Monday’s quick start: translucency at RAW color

Rawcolor

Raw Color  did it again … Simply perfection and it combines all the things I love .. wool , colors and translucency.

Interior designers Van Eijk & Van der Lubbe were commissioned by a Dutch bank to renew  their office in Eindhoven. With the help from Daphna Laurens, Snodevormgevers and Ecological Textiles a stunning project has happened.

Monday’s quick start: Ohhhmhhh … Copper Confetti

Kupfer-Konfetti

Steffi and I met each other when we were both invited as co-teachers for the Blogging Your Way e-course by decor8 and ever since her first email you can feel her positive and vibrant energy … no wonder this lady is a big blog star in Germany. Bearly finished and launched her first book .. now she introduces us to her first product … a great home accessory to give extra touches to your walls …

With a pinterest board called ICopper I couldn't be more happier she choose copper as the color for this great idea … copper wall confetti.

Monday’s quick start: Mirage by L&G

LG-Studio_Mirage_Coffeetabl

Not often do I open newsletters … just too many arrive in my inbox but the glass table above caught my eye and I immediately recognised the Ladies & Gentlemen studio signature. Their new collection called Mirage is again truly beautiful and very now. Mirage is inspired by a kaleidoscope with it's principle of multiple reflection.

Dylan Davis and Jane Lee are Ladies & Gentleman and meeting Jane last year made me want to foolow what this talented couple is doing.

A bit of site searching brought me to Sight Unseen and apartment theraphy where Jane and Dylan recently shared their home. I love the living room and it reminds me so much of the living room from design heroes Ray and Charles Eames … how lucky are they to have found this vintage Florence Knoll sofa.

Monday’s quick start: ArtMind and Lila Ruby King

Artmind

A ceramic artist and illustrator combined forces … and see the lovely result. Mitsy Sleurs from ArtMind, who is living and working in Hasselt, Belgium and illustrator Lila Ruby King from the UK made these mugs, plates and bowls.

I wanted to share with you my newest line of work, a collection of tableware made in collaboration with illustrator Lila Ruby King.

They named the collection Sea Level. For the imagery, they went with what they are calling a contemporary taken on Delfts blue. I really like them.

ps. Mitsy shares many interesting tutorials on her blog about ceramics. My favorite must be 'How to apply a ceramic decal/screenprint to porcelain?

Monday’s quick start: Atlas by Amba Molly

Ambamolly

A peaceful beginning of this new week  … Atlas by designer Amba Molly is a visualisation between the world of crafts and industry.

Sewing and piecing together bottles and vases using only natural skin tone colors make the Atlas collection very eye-inspiring and interesting for me and I hope for you too!

Amba Molly is also part of De Intuïtiefabriek, which you might remember from this post earlier on Bloesem .

Monday’s quick start: Nämä from Finland

Pekka_cutting_board_2jpg-72

A dreamy, sweet and crispy start of the week with Nämä from Finland. This online shop created their own small online free magazine and the images are just perfect! … and yes I do like all the products too.

These cuttingboards are very high on my wish-list and although no images here I do love the small vintage range of ceramics at Nämä.

The beautiful Metsä fabric from Kauniste is perfect for teatowels and NAMA photographed them so well!! But I also like how Time of the Aquarius used the same fabric for their new guestroom
