Dezeen Watch Store has joined forces with footwear designer Tracey Neuls to present two pop-up stores this Christmas – one in Marylebone in west London and another in Shoreditch in east London.

From 20 November to 23 December, Dezeen Watch Store will present a special selection of watches by leading designers and independent brands at Neuls’ stores in Redchurch Street in east London and Marylebone Lane in west London.

Neuls’ store at 73 Rechurch Street features our signature display of cages, showcasing a selection of our latest watches including timepieces by Form Us With Love, Mathieu Lehanneur and Benjamin Hubert, as well as London brand Uniform Wares‘ newly updated range of 150 Series and 20o Series watches.

The store also features some of our most popular models by Uniform Wares, Michael Young and Achille Castiglioni.

A smaller selection is on display at Neuls’ store at 29 Marylebone Lane, arranged over the fireplace amongst the store’s Christmas decorations.

Customers will of course be able to browse Neuls’ range of unique, hand-made shoes at both stores.

Dezeen Watch Store: three updated editions of the best-selling 150 Series by London watch brand Uniform Wares are now available from Dezeen Watch Store with free worldwide shipping.

The 152 Series remains true to the elegant design of the previous 150 Series, and is the slimmest in the Uniform Wares collection at only 6.05 millimetres in depth. “We wanted to make the design of the watch even more simple and refined,” Oliver Fowles of Uniform Wares told Dezeen. “We reduced the case size by a couple of millimetres and fitted it with a new tapered strap, which gives it a much more slender silhouette on the wrist.”

“We wanted to keep the traditional gent’s dress wrist watch aesthetic, but also make it a little bit more appealing to people with smaller wrists and the female market” he continued.

To keep the profile of the watch as slim as possible, Uniform Wares replaced the Japanese movement featured in the original 150 Series with a more compact Swiss movement, which also offers improved accuracy and reliability.

The watch is available in three different finishes and each has a new strap style with a padded core, creating a softer, more comfortable fit.

The first model has a black Italian calf leather strap and a polished case, the second has a striking brushed finish and features bright blue hands and a light goatskin strap, while the final colourway has a rose gold case and a walnut-brown calf leather strap.

The blue hands on the grey model reference the colour created when steel is heat-treated, which Fowles explains was “quite a traditional form of decoration back in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when watch hands were made out of steel as opposed to aluminium”.

Uniform Wares has also introduced a regulator ring to two of the 152 Series models. “It’s the first time we’ve introduced a regulator ring, which is a feature taken from the old pocket watches used by physicians” Fowles explained. “It makes the minute indexing a lot more prominent and it gives the watch a bit more of an engineered feel, instead of being just a standard dress watch”.

Dezeen Watch Store: Take Time, a timepiece inspired by a traditional pocket watch by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur is now available for pre-order at Dezeen Watch Store.

Like a pocket watch, Take Time has a long strap that loops at one end, so it can be worn on the wrist or fastened to clothing.

When worn on the wrist, the loop wraps around the face to give it the shape of a traditional watch.

Alternatively, the wearer can thread the face through the loop and secure the watch around a bag or belt.

The watch has a silicone rubber strap and currently comes in black, white, blue or grey.
