What we’re looking at right here is a device that essentially amounts to a countdown sound-blaster with a user-interface that’s just about as easy to use as humanly possible. That’s what it’s all about, and it’s the details that make it just fantastic enough to be the most awesome little twist-and-snooze gadget on the block.
What you’ve got here is the “Timer Switch” – simply titled – designed by Myeong Ho Kang, made to be both lovely in its simple aesthetic state and simple to use. You twist the rim and watch the numbers appear along the area between the edge and the center button. When you see the amount of time you desire, you press the button.
Once the timer goes off, a sound and a light goes on, and you’ve only to tap the button back to its off-state to reset.

Gotta love the whimsical, storybook-looking Seasons furniture series. No two pieces are exactly the same in the handmade collection of stools, benches and tables. Although diverse in dimension and function, each is constructed in the same process in which mortise-and-tenon joints are used to connect hazel branches and an oak top. A mixture of sawdust and glue are used to fill and smooth the connections, resulting in an organic, smooth and seamless form.
The pieces are burned and treated with wax. After the top is sanded they are polished and treated with oil. Hazel branches, chosen for their strength and straightness, introduce a natural dynamic into the final structure and give each piece a distinct character that is marked and numbered.

This striking desk design is the latest addition to the Incunabular range of handmade contemporary furniture by UK-based design studio, invisiblecity. The design takes its dimensions and ratios from the international paper standard ISO 216, Series A. The geometric rationale behind the entire series is the square root of 2, which maintains the aspect ratio of each subsequent module. Not a math whiz? No worries- all you really need to know is that a lot of thought went into this gorgeous piece!
