This Stool’s No Stump

Metsä (Finnish for “forest”) is the result of two designers’ trip abroad to a little Finnish town called Lahti! Inspired by the area’s lush landscape, Metsä’s 9 legs create a geometric abstraction of a tree structure while giving it structural integrity. Composed entirely of raw birch, its aesthetic is the best of both natural and modern!

Industrial Elegance at Its Best

The Robert stool’s uses robust tubular steel in contrast with thin hand-carved wood to create an aesthetic that is at once industrial and elegant. The seat is curved for seamless comfort and displays a striking diagonal accent inlay. The base’s colorful powder coated finish emphasizes the toughness of the material, ensuring that users can be confident in the durability of the design.

Why choose one when you can have 3?

If this chair looks familiar but you can’t quite put your finger on why, it’s because you’re seeing 3 of the most celebrated seating designs at once! Appropriately called the Masters chair, it pays homage to Eames, Saarineen and Jacobsen by incorporating the silhouettes of each of their iconic chairs into it’s seat-back. Also available in a stool version —>

Double Duty Seating

As you might guess from the name, the Octahedrons stool takes inspiration from simple yet functional geometries to form its multifunctional shape. How is it multifunctional? The support system is created using equilateral triangles that give it structural integrity whether it’s sideways or upright. Interchangeable seats adapt  to either position to accommodate one or two people depending on the user’s functional or aesthetic needs.

Tool-inspired Stool

The Eyore stool is an elegant fusion of tool and furniture that takes inspiration from the very device used to help carpenters create other forms of seating. The simplistic structure is identical to trestles used by carpenters to lift and support sofa cushions and couches. Suede accents and fabric in contrast with raw wood and metal rivets give it a refined industrial aesthetic suitable everywhere from the kitchen to the work studio.

Forget the Beanbag, Meet the Greenbag!

The PP Capsule is a distant relative of the beanbag chair that is composed entirely of post-consumer materials. The lightweight yet durable outer later is made with recycled polyester, the most sustainable synthetic fiber on the market. Like Bread and Butter

Wood and steel just go together! The Composite Stool earns its name from the marriage of these two elements that form its simplistic yet stylish construction. Plasma cut 4mm mild steel is pressed into shape and powder coated to form the top, while sapele or silver beech wood is machined and assembled by hand to form the legs. The result is so sleek you’d never guess they were handmade in designer Andrew Cassels’ very own garage! Get em’ here!

Sit and Feel the Burn!

The U-Stool’s signature “U” shape is functional in getting the user to work their abdomen and legs to balance the rocking seat. This healthier method of active-sitting actually makes it easier to sit for longer periods of time by keeping the user shifting, thereby reducing strain on the back and hips. The user might burn more energy while seated, but  the design’s eco-friendly construction and production process cut back on its own energy consumption! It’s even compostable at the end of its life cycle!
