Move Over Tablet

Introducing… Wallet! It’s an all-in-one device that functions as phone, camera, and tablet all in one. Incredibly, it’s merely the size of a standard wallet, but features 3 folding screens in a unique construction that allows them to perform multiple tasks at once or even be combined to stream movies or photo slideshows. But HOW?? You’ll have to check out the video after the jump to see just how this incredible multitasking machine works!

The first screen is formed by two sets: a framework that allows the folding of the entire screen, and an inner screen which can perform a rotation of 180 °, which at its rear part includes a 12.1 Mpx camera with 16x digital zoom and video recording at 1080p HD. In addition, a flash light that improves the quality of photos. On one side is a LED that spares the user from having to open Wallet to check if they have received a call, message or any other notifications. Moreover, this screen also includes a microphone and a speaker for calls, so it can be used without opening it. At the top corner of the frame are connectors for standard 3.5mm headphones to avoid burden when it is used as widescreen and next to it is a power button for easy accessibility.

The second screen has a built-in support in the outer casing made of Technogel. Eventhough this material can be easily bendable, it is also strong enough for the support to carry the entire weight of Wallet. The Technogel is an innovative material invented by an Italian company. Among its many properties are resistance to shocks, large durability and high protection. At the top of the screen is a standard micro USB connector type B which serves to connect any peripherals items (mouse, keyboard, printer, and even a TV). Additionally, it can be connected to a computer to recharge. The connecter is located in a spot where it does not interfere when it is used as a tablet or widescreen.

iPhone touchkeys become real

Designer Moon Myounghak has made a lovely effort in a very real way (conceptual on the verge of reality) in creating a case that allows the iPhone to become a touchkey phone. WIth the keys this case creates for the iPhone, you’ve got a very physical set of keys accented by a touchscreen that contains five icons across. In other words, this wouldn’t be allowed by Apple as it stands here, but with a hacked iPhone you’d have gold.

Have a peek at what this physical case with real physical buttons would bring you and your iPhone and let us know – would you do it? Do you desire the physical set of keys of yesteryear to keep the iPhone linked to the past? Or could you never, ever keep away from the full touchscreen experience?

Tron-inspired smartphone hits The Grid

Designer Wooseok Suh is coming on correct today with a lovely smartphone device by the name of “Another World”, made right out of the box to present an entirely new environment for you lovers of the unique. This smart device could be called a smartphone or it could simply be called an electronic touch device – it breaks barriers either way.

Have a peek at how this device not only shows off its abilities in such a simple way that we don’t even have to explain how it works, but also keeps a perfectly clean aesthetic for fashionability as well. The movie Tron comes to mind simply because of the black and transparent grid run through with glowing light lines – otherwise this lovely amalgamation of wonder is all from the mind of Suh.

Muscular Mobile Phone

This peculiar, creature-like mobile phone concept, appropriately named Curious, features a multi-sensory notification system that alerts the user to incoming calls with not only a standard vibration and ring, but also a complete changing of its shape! At rest, the phone lies flat, but upon being activated by a call, the sections begin to flex, offering an additional visual indication and shape that is more ergonomic for holding against the ear. To turn off, simply push the phone against a surface to deactivate it.

Finally, iPhone Movies!

The iPhone is good for a lot of things, but movies… not so much! The Big Screen concept enhances the video capabilities of the iPhone by using a thin Fresnel lens at the front to magnify whatever is playing on the screen. The angle of the device instantly positions the phone and screen at a comfortable viewing angle. Even though touch screen functionality is disabled, side openings provide access to the volume and home buttons.

Luxury Android

In a world of cookie-cutter smartphones, the BeoSmart stands out from its counterparts as a truly unique design that hones in on the style and quality of the Bang and Olufsen audio and Leica camera brands. The exterior casing is reminiscent of the Leica M series cam fit with synthetic leather as well as a high powered B&O speaker at the center that serves as the focal point of the design. The Computer Phone Is Here

What I like about the TPM VIPNI Concept P.C.P. Professional Computer Phone is that the concept is not ‘inspired’ by any existing design. Moreover it features components and aspects that are envisioned with existing and available technologies. Essentially this means you can build this powerhouse of a Pocket Computer Phone, right away!

Designer Imran Sheikh has a clever twist to the name VIPNI; turn it 180-degrees to find it spelling “INdIA”! Very clever!

Detailed Features are here:

  • x86 on ARM concept
  • Keyboard
  • Blank button
  • Bottom-line numeric keys for semi slide mode
  • Gaming keys inclusion
  • Split mouse
  • Top-Bottom Desigm
  • Central 3d camera placement
  • Redesigned stylus
  • Tap Controlled UI
  • Bottom fold capacitive mouse
  • Dual camera button
  • Professional ports for multimedia professional – video in (blue); audio in (yellow); audio out (Red)
  • a totally redesigned Back cover/stand

Designer: Thepowermachines

Here are the features you would like to know:

The OS of choice for TPM VIPNI is Microsoft Windows 8 Pro (not Windows RT for ARM), which Dual boots along with the secondary mobile operating system Windows Phone 8. This is possible with the power of “ARM” because this whole system is powered by Quad Core ARM Processor.

The main purpose of the TPM-VIPNI PCP is to provide power of X86 & usability of ARM in one device at the same time. The problem with X86 processors is that they are less energy efficient and emit lots of heat while on the other hand ARM processors are powerful yet more heat and energy efficient. So what we did in TPM-VIPNI is that we used ARM Processor to power a full blown X86 Operating System i.e. Microsoft Windows 8 Professional (not the ARM one).

Original “TPM.KEYBOARD.1” design keyboard This keyboard features:

  • A full QWERTY layout
  • Designed with all PC keyboard function and control keys
  • Integrated mouse with three mouse buttons
  • Integrated gaming keypad
  • Grip angle key rotation
  • Relocated numeric keys for semi slide to reveal

Operates in two modes:

  • Feather mode (capacitive mode) for fast finger typing
  • Thumb mode for thumb press typing

Integrated Mouse Features:

  • Original dual located mouse i.e. buttons at one position & mouse pad at other position
  • Gives user a comfort of using both hands in mouse operations
  • Even useful for designers and hardcore gamers

Integrated Gamepad Features:

  • Unique arrangement of buttons and keyboard design keeping usability for hardcore gamers in mind without losing the functionality of QWERTY layout. This gives users a unique experience to switch between gaming and professional work without hassle.

Blank Button:

  • This keyboard is designed with a blank button and it is not there by mistake. The reason I added this button on keypad is for times when we need to keep screen or monitor awake for something important but the screen turns off due to timeout.
  • Unique bottom line positioning of numeric and function keys (win)
  • Speakers are located in both top and bottom, so you never need to worry you held the phone correct or not. Just pick up the phone and answer and the call.

TPM-STYLUS-1” is simple yet effectively designed stylus with a unique design and high precession. It occupies very less space inside TPM-VIPNI.
Central Placement of 3d Camera at the back which gives you the perfect judgment of what you are capturing.

TPM-VIPINI has a new feature of “Tap Controlled Buttons”. This Tap Controlled System is based on accelerometer built inside the system. The UI is fully TAP Controlled in Mobile mode as well as Touch Screen mode. The major difference between a Tap and Touch screen gestures is that “the touch screen gesture will work on a touch as it should but a Tap controlled UI is controlled by an Accelerometer which detects a Tap and ignores the Touch gesture”. The device is logically divided into four quadrants (yes, the whole device and not just the screen. refer diagram below).Tapping in different regions on a fixed combination will issue commands like “Home”, “Back”, “Menu”, etc. For e.g. Double tapping bottom left quadrant will navigate screen to “Home”. Double tap on bottom right will open up “Menu” and so on.

The Tap Control works in two ways:

  • Pattern control – i.e. the device uses a fixed pattern of taps at fixed spots (four quads or center) of the screen to issue a command.
  • Rhythm Control – The device uses a fixed rhythm of unique taps on any part of device to issue a command and control it. You can record these custom tap rhythms.

TPM-VIPNI’s touchpad is a unique mouse touchpad because it’s the thinnest and foldable. The unique design is obtained from a multi touch capacitive tab which smartly folds to the bottom. So it will only appear when required.
