Proposant sur Instagram ses créations, le photographe et directeur artistique allemand Robert Jahns plus connu sous le pseudo Nois7 invente des situations surréalistes à l’aide de manipulations du plus bel effet. Voici une sélection de ses œuvres, proposant une baleine à Venise ou encore des manèges entre deux gratte-ciels.
La prima volta che ho ascoltato Swim, l’album di svolta del produttore canadese Daniel Snaith in arte Caribou, la prima frase che ho esclamato è stata: ma chi è questo squilibrato?
Dopo pochi minuti però ero già estremamente coinvolto ed affascinato da un disco che, nella sua scelta stilistica e compositiva, risultava fortemente fresco ed innovativo. La pregevole irregolarità dell’artista canadese, frutto di un background decisamente vasto ed eterogeneo, è riscontrabile anche nel suo prossimo lavoro in uscita su Jiaolong con l’alias Daphni. Le due tracce Julia e Tiberius non hanno ancora una data ufficiale di rilascio, ciò che è certo è che per ricreare il tipico suono caribouiano, cosi dinamico e vivo, Daniel Snaith si è affidato al supporto strumentale di Owen Pallett, che con un sinuoso gioco d’archi riesce a rendere la dimensione Caribou ancora più profonda. Auspicandoci che questo singolo sia un primo test verso la produzione di un nuovo disco, ascoltatevi questa preview.
L’artiste Daniela Carvalho, vivant en Espagne, a voulu rendre un hommage tout particulier à la saison de l’été avec sa série « 39 degrés ». Elle a donc combiné des photographies de vacances, de plages et d’été avec de la peinture à l’huile qui finit et prolonge les images. Un très beau travail entre photographie et peinture.

Nurturing a houseplant isn’t exactly a well-designed process for casual growers. You plant the seeds, water the sprouts once in a while and hope that something nice-looking makes an appearance after a while. Most of the time, it’s hard to tell what’s going on between the act of planting and the end goal of appreciating a full-grown arrangement. The Phytophiler Flower Pot System by Dossofiorito has something to say about that. The System (which was presented at this year’s Salone Satellite) includes your everyday terracotta flower pots with a few add-ons—magnifying glasses, rotating bases, mirrors, etc.—to enhance the growing process.
The Phytophiler becomes a centerpiece of a different caliber once it’s all set up. The add-ons can be rearranged, added and removed depending on what parts the grower wants to focus on. When assembled, it throws off an Inspector Gadget vibe—but in a homey, non-catastrophic kind of way.

Da questa tragica esperienza, l’artista Eiko Ishizawa ha deciso di ricreare questo esemplare di sacco-a-pelo in cui l’utilizzatore viene avvolto dall’animale lasciando libere solo la parte delle fauci. Un oggetto scultoreo ma anche funzionale che attraversa i confini tra cultura e natura contemporanea e pone l’attenzione sul ruolo del tanto temuto animale.
