Style Spotlight: FLUD Watches Combine Function and Fashion

imageWhile watches are perhaps the most practical accessory a gal can adorn herself with, I feel like they get the least amount of recognition, having been overshadowed by bangles, cocktail rings, chandelier earrings, chunky necklaces for far too long. Well I think it’s time to change that and bring watches front and center! To do so, I’m introducing you a hot new watch brand- FLUD. They have an awesome range of styles that vary from classic and timeless, to fashionable and cutting edge, to totally outrageous and funky. All of the styles come in several colors and they have an incredible selection of super bold shades- perfect for incorporating this season’s bold color trend into your look. Dear Fellow People of Carmel, California

We would like to extend congratulations to ourselves for having the very best town in the world! Although the voting was only open to in-town residents, we think it goes without saying that Carmel really deserved this highly coveted honor once again. That’s twenty years running! To commerate, we have imported the world’s finest small-caps-named artists to create bourgeois paintings of our charming town. These will be for sale throughout our hilltop village in every one of our thirty art galleries, so please grab one for your tea room before visitors get their grubby hands on them.

We are also pleased to announce the opening of even more jewelers! They will be sprinkled between the authentic alpine-themed cafes proudly brewing starbucks brand coffee. Commemorative diamond studded brioches are being forged, so you can show just how proud you are to live here.

Congratulations again, people of Carmel. God bless our (award-winning) town!

Rumer Or Rachel: Who Wore Her Stella McCartney Blazer Better?

imageFashionistas who invest in a Stella McCartney piece are probably looking forward to an outfit that’s sexy, stylish and unique… Unfortunately, when you’re fashionable and famous, it’s not rare to find someone spotted on the red carpet wearing the same thing! But you can’t really blame the actresses who were inadvertently playing “twinzies” for the day — both Rumer Willis and Rachel McAdams looked hot in their Stella McCartney Lace Noir blazers, and both succeeded in making it their own at their respective events! Rumer wore hers at the “Sorority Row” premiere, belted over a pair of tight black dress pants and suede pumps, while Rachel rocked hers overseas at the Deauville Film Festival, tucked under a high-waisted skirt with black peep-toes. Both chic red carpet looks, but who wore it best? Vote below on which actress you think did the Stella blazer more justice.Photo Credit: PR Photos

Warning: Bowties and Explosions Ahead

This image has no alt text

This is centuries old in internet time, but probably one of the best music videos to come out this year. Not to be confused with the awesome fan made video that’s been floating around the interwebs for the last couple weeks (see what I did there!?), the official video fits the band’s image and sound perfectly. Grizzly Bear’s song “2 Weeks” is brought to life by director Patrick Daughters, who also did all those awesome Feist videos from The Reminder. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to get back to watching Cocoon.
