Starchitect Zaha Hadid will need to make more room on her likely very slippery-designed, alien-like bookshelf for yet another award. The United Nations, or more specifically, the UNESCO arm of the organization, has announced that they’ve named her their latest Artist for Peace:

Ms. Hadad, a winner of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, often referred to as “architecture’s Nobel,” will receive her official designation as a UNESCO Artist for Peace at a ceremony at the agency’s Paris headquarters on Thursday.

She is being recognized for her efforts to “raise public awareness of intercultural dialogue, to promote excellence in design and creativity, and her dedication to the ideals and aims of the Organization,” according to a news release issued by UNESCO.

This puts her alongside previous winners like musician Gilberto Gil and fashion designer Bibi Russell. No word yet on if winning the award lands you a special UN “go anywhere you want and skip all the customs lines” passport.
