I could do without the fabric patterns, but I like the idea behind BRF’s Eklipse chair, a sort of moldable piece of furniture that can become an armchair or an Ottoman/stool. Designed by Sylvia Colombini and Zoran Jedrejcic, the Eklipse has a metal structure wrapped in polyurethane foam, which is then topped with a (thankfully) removable fabric cover. Would love to see exactly how the shape-changing mechanism works–is it a hinge, or something more complicated?–but there’s no details provided. Guess it’s a trade secret.
