Timberland Boot Company Featured by Richard Chai
Posted in: UncategorizedFor his fifth collection of menswear, rising fashion designer Richard Chai paired his deconstructed classic looks with Timberland‘s similarly futuristic take on traditional boots earlier today in a runway presentation.
The move comes a few seasons into Timberland’s bid for a corner of the fashion market with the “Boot Company” line touting their heritage, using higher-end materials and construction techniques, and recently collaborating with Opening Ceremony on a collection.
Chai, a former Marc Jacobs design director and 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award finalist, chose Timberland’s Wodehouse Cap Toe Oxford and Tackhead Winter 8” Boot as well as the Colrain Reissue 8” Boot, mixing high and low cuts to match the layered ensembles.
